I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Was John involved in the k********g as well? I gazed at him, and as he turned, his eyes filled with anger as he fixed his gaze on Kat.
"She's my wife, and you have no right to touch her," he vehemently declared.
The fury in Kat's eyes was unmistakable when John made that statement. She shot a glance at me, then back at John before turning and walking away, leaving me and John alone in the dimly lit room.
I patiently waited for John to face me, and as he did, I found my voice.
"I can't fathom how you could stoop so low as to kidnap me. Why are you doing this anyway? You already have a mate, John. Why not focus on her?"
