“Ew, gross,” Gabriel chuckled, shoulder-bumping his foster brother Simon as they walked home from school. Even though Simon was the smaller of the two of them, they were the same age, and navigating their way through freshman year in high school as best they could.
“No, I swear, it was like they were sucking each other’s faces off.” Simon kicked a rock off the sidewalk and sighed. “I just don’t get it.”
“Supposedly it’s a biological imperative.”
