“Anyone home?” Gabriel made his way to his bedroom, dumped his duffle bag onto his bed, and headed to the kitchen to see if the cupboards held any hope for dinner. It was Sunday night, and the apartment appeared to be empty. He had been gone since Friday night on a school trip for the National Science Bee Regional competition. They didn’t even make it into the top five schools in the final standings, but it was still fun. They got to stay in the dorms at Northeastern University Friday and Saturday night. After their massive defeat was announced this morning, the chaperones took them to the Museum of Fine Arts. Then they got to go to an awesome laser show in the Science Museum’s Omni Theatre.
