IT'S KWEN!!!

I almost jumped outta my skin when I heard I'll be having a little sister instead of a little brother. I've always wanted one. I used to be so jealous of Danny getting one before me, but seeing how Sierra turned out, I wasn't too disappointed anymore. That was until Kwen came along. She's freaking awesome and super fun to be around. She had all of our jaws on the ground from her performance with the Luna, and now she's telling my parents and I that the baby in her stomach is a girl. I know Danny's mom is the Luna, but she can be a bit... much and a bit pushy. Danny has on countless occasions mentioned how much the way his mom does things bothered him, and I know for a fact, he's not the only one to feel that way. We all ate in our seats since the Luna forbade us from eating with Kwen. I kept looking over at the table she sat at with her grandparents and Psy and her parents. They all seem to be having a great time laughing and talking with one another. While here at our table, we had to uphold a certain look and dignity. Constantly being reminded that we're the future leaders can be tiresome. I think that's why we all really like Kwen. She's just... regular. She treats us regularly and doesn't care nothing for titles and what we're to become. That's why we all stayed to ourselves. We always felt that most saw us for just a title and not for who we are. When Kwen brought Psy into the fold, we questioned it immediately, but she's just as funny and silly, but she's also really, really sweet. Anyway, we all finished up eating, of course, after Kwen was done. She and psy went outside. I was itching to go out with them. I don't know why, but something about today has been picking at me. Like, something crawled in my ear, and I have an itch I can't reach. I felt as if I needed to keep an eye on her, as if I'd look away, she'd be gone. "Ok, guys. Let's go. We finished eating, and now let's go meet up with Kwen and Psy." All the guys looked at me strangely. "How come you're so eager to see them... hmmm?" Elias questioned with a smirk on his face. I shoved him. "Whatever, man. We all like hanging out with them. It's not just me." "Yeaaahhh, but you've never been this excited to hang around girls before. So who is it? Is it Psy?" Logan asked. I rolled my eyes. "No. So stop being stupid." "Ahhh, so it's Kwen that you like. Isn't that right, Stephen." I practically snapped my neck, looking at Elias, then towards Daniel. He glared at me. "NO!! Well, yes... BUT NOT LIKE THAT." "You better not have a thing for my sister, Steph!" He stared daggers into me, and I looked away from him. Elias and Logan were cracking up. I slowly got up, making my way towards the patio to ease the tension that those buttholes were creating. The guys finally decided to follow. Danny stood to the right of me. "Seriously, though. I don't think I like Kwen in that way. I know I like being around her, and I love making her laugh. I hate seeing her sad, and it breaks my heart when she looks like she's been crying. I don't know why that is, but I just always feel this need to be around her and know that she's safe... I don't understand it either, to be honest." I looked up at him, and his angry, protective brother gaze no longer lingered. He seemed confused but understood my words completely. "Yea. I think I know what you mean. I'd do anything to see her smile, too. She seems so strong, yet fragile. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to her." His words rang out as we stepped outside on the patio. The first thing we all saw was Kwen and Psy dancing with each other. They were spinning and jumping around, laughing loudly. Danny's and Kwen's grandparents looked on with joy as Psy's parents smiled at their interaction. I b-lined right to them, almost tackling them, but caught them. They laughed even louder. "Hey!! You can't leave me outta all the fun." I took both their hands and twirled them. "Aww. Steph felt left out, K. Now he's gonna be pouting all day." Psy said to Kwen. They both laughed as I nodded my head in agreement. "You're absolutely right, Psy. And since you know that to be true, I no longer want to dance with you. Kwen is all mine." I twirled Psy away from Kwen and I. She squealed as Kwen giggled. Elias grabbed Psy, and I kept Kwen in my arms. "Shall we, your majesty?" I stepped away to bow. She laughed more while curtsying. "We shall, my good sir." We clasped hands. I rested a hand on her back as she rested one on my shoulder, and we took off. We bounced and jumped around, galloping and laughing. Danny, Logan, Elias, and Psy all joined in. We would dance with each other, moving between who danced with Kwen or Psy. We'd spin and dipped them, passing them to the next guy. I've never had so much fun at one of these functions. Being around Kwen made us all feel normal. Like we were children and were allowed to be children. She didn't care for who we were to become, but the people we were now. I didn't want our fun to end, but of course, it always came to an end. The Luna had come over to tell us guys to mingle with the other children. She glared at both Kwen and Psy before walking away. At first, we weren't going to do it, but Kwen made us do, as we were commanded. She didn't want to be the reason we got in trouble or caused unnecessary strife between leaders. "Well, y'all coming with us on this outreach crusade." I told Kwen and Psy. They again laughed but nodded. We began to interact with the other people our age, and the girls immediately pounced on us, while the guys acted as if we've all been cool since birth. This is why we always stayed to ourselves. We hated the fakeness everyone showed us. Usually, no one had any problems with us staying to ourselves, but since we were hanging out and having too much fun with Kwen and Psy; an omega and a girl seen as being worst than that. A mere human... we had to now be amongst the "common" folk. As we talked more and more, I noticed that we were being separated from Kwen and Psy until they were no longer in our field of view. 'You guys see Kwen or Psy?' I asked a little panic through minlink. 'Yeah. They're over by the egde of the dance floor. Closer to the clearing.' Elias said. 'This was intentional, wasn't it?' Logan questioned. 'I think it was. My mother really doesn't want us, but especially me, to get close to Kwen or any other person she deems less than.' We all groaned through mindlink. I don't know how long our interactions with the other pack members went on for, but the darkness of night had completely covered the sky. I looked up to see a half moon bright and high. The lights around the huge backyard of the packhouse kept the darkness at bay and the party going. We all ended up back together, huddled at one of the tables set up around the dance floor. "Finally! I'm so glad that's over." Elias said, and we all chuckled, sighing heavily. "Who you telling? It's so draining having to pretend to want to be around someone." I said, throwing myself into a chair. "No lies detected. I'm ready to just hang out for the rest of the night." Logan mentioned. "Rest of the night? I don't know about you, Dracula, but the rest of us need some sleep. It's already going on midnight." Danny said, making us all laugh. We continued to talk for a while until this sharp pain entered my chest. It took my breath away. I clutched my chest, trying to breathe, but it wasn't working. That's when my brain went into overdrive and my wolf, Styx, howled out, growling in my head screaming for Kwen. I jumped up, just now noticing my friends surrounding me. They must've been worried when I didn't respond to them because I see my parents with all of theirs running towards us. "Steph!! What's wrong!! What happened???!" Danny asked, helping to hold me up because my body was caving in from pain. I couldn't get any words out. The immense fear that was wrapping itself around my heart was confining my lungs. They couldn't expand to bring in oxygen. "STEPHEN! WHAT'S WRONG. TALK TO ME SON!" My father charged over to me, kneeling down to face me. He held my upper arms in his big hands. I could see my mother coming into view, rubbing and caressing my cheek, pushing my hair out of my face. "What's wrong, my baby. Just breathe, ok. You have to breathe." My mom tried to coach out of me. That's when Styx started to fight me for control. "Styx is fighting him?! What the hell happened?!" I heard the Alpha questioned. That's when I was able to take in a deep breath, only to scream one thing. "KWEN!!!!" Everyone went silent. The alpha moved closer to me. "What about Kwen?" That's when this pull I always get when I'm looking for her kicked into overdrive, like an invisible string drawing me to her. I snapped my head towards the clearing of trees and began to run at full speed. I screamed again. "ITS KWEN!!" That's when the Alpha roared out. The ground shook as he shifted and rushed in my direction, running past me. What the hell is going on with me, and what is happening to Kwen?!
