Life back with my family was quiet and steady.
My parents and my siblings, Daniel and Caroline, were heartbroken by how much weight I had lost.
They hired a nutritionist and a physical therapist to help me recover, and I went for weekly checkups.
The doctor said my other injuries were healing well. Unfortunately, the damage to my uterus was permanent, but the rest of my body would recover with time.
Without consulting me, Daniel ended every behind-the-scenes business arrangement between Hart Group and Ethan's design studio. The suppliers connected to those projects also stopped working with Ethan.
Daniel said anyone who hurt a Hart had to pay.
"You're home now. Come work at Hart Group. No one will ever bully you again."
