Bella
Isaac was right. Trixy has been very busy putting all her attention to me. All week, she orders me like I’m her slave whenever Sir Leon is not around.
I have put all her things here and there, she makes me do all the things Sir Leon never asked me to do. I applied for a maid job but this annoying witch thinks she’s paying me to do all the basic jobs for her.
She’s really a brat.
According to Aurora, she came from the richest family in Götaland. The only daughter of the town’s respected aristocratic businessman, the first granddaughter of the Adolphson family. She’s really an entitled princess. She got her arrogant attitude from sophisticated social climber of a mother and she got spoiled by her own family.
She’s basically the living witch— I mean the living princess of the family.
She decided to study in Oxford, with the degree of Fine art, which she only pursued because Sir Leon is pursuing Fine art and she got a big crush on him. As the little brat as she is, she made her way and settled down in Los Angeles and did her acting; a paid acting job because no one wants to hire her. For the two reasons, first, she cannot act and her attitude that everybody cannot stand.
The red lipped brat is madly smitten to mister Monzato to the point he asked her dad to make a way for him and Sir Leon meet.
I shook my head and continued folding Trixy’s dresses, that she wanted it to get folded. Aurora informed me a lot about her the same day she was informed by Millie what happened.
“Focus on your work, slave.” My ears rang in annoyance whenever I hear her voice.
I don’t bully people but this girl, is really trying my patience. She’s been attacking my appearance like she’s the most beautiful woman in this planet.
“Tell me, where’d you got your ugly face done?” She asked. “Oh dear me! You’re poor, of course you have no money for a plastic surgery.” She laughed like a witch. So annoying.
I watched her light up the candles in this guest suite Sir Leon let her stay in. As what the boss said, she will be staying here for a month.
Which means a month of preventing myself from making a comment about her ugly mouth and ugly personality and sucking up to all her bullying.
Oh my dear Lord, give me more patience....
“AH!” I whimpered when I felt a hot wax from her candle fell on my wrist. I looked up to her and saw her holding the candle.
She poured another hit of wax on me and this time, it landed on my face. I whimpered again. A satisfied bratty smirk was displayed on her lips again.
“Why did you do that?” I hissed. I saw my skin becoming red from the heat. I do have a sensitive skin and for sure, this redness would last for a couple of days.
“I’m bored, slave. Continue working or I will talk Leon to fire your ass.”
I sighed. I bit my lip and continue working without saying anything.
Remember Bella, you cannot lost this job. This is a good paying job, don’t quit. Besides, she’s not your boss.
By dinner, all of Sir Leon’s friends are in the mansion. Sir Wallace, Sir Damon and Sir Crow smiled at me earlier. At least, that made my mood go in a good because they remembered me. That simple act made my heart swell because I’m literally losing all my patience for Trixy.
The spoiled princess scratched me earlier. Now, my arm is red and wounded. I have to wear a cardigan to cover my arm so that I will not bother the other staff.
“Hello, Doll.” I looked up from filling up the wine glasses when I heard a voice.
Sir Wallace is smiling at me from the entrance in the kitchen. “Just wanna ask if I can have a cake please? Tell Sonia. I’m so famished. And the food is still far I cannot take this anymore. My girlfriend is mad at me and she’s pregnant. If she’s mad, I’m not allowed to eat. I’m getting abused.”
“Okay.” I smiled and walked the hallway to call Sonia. The cake is from the Alexandria’s Cafe.
At first, I was hesitant to say that I know the cafe because I really read that cafe somewhere before but when I was changing, I saw the calling card Cohen gave me weeks ago. He is the owner of the Cafe. I wonder if he baked this cake.
I served the cake. Sir Wallace is sitting in one of the counter seat and waiting patiently.
“Are you gonna eat the cake here? Or I should serve it on the dining?” I asked nicely.
“No no. I’m gonna eat here. Whatcha doing?”
I came back on what I was doing earlier. She looked at me curiously so I answered, “Just cleaning these lettuces for the salad later.”
I unconsciously pulled my sleeves up, not really thinking that Sir Wallace might see the scratch marks Trixy left on my both arms. I flinched when I heard his footsteps and in a swift, he is now holding both of my shoulders.
“And what the f**k happened to that?” He asked, slightly growling.
“Oh! It’s nothing, Sir.” I smiled genuinely.
“Don’t give me that bullshit, Bella. The last time I saw you, you have a massive bruise on your left arm. Are you a fighter or something?”
“Just an accident.”
“That’s a scratch from someone’s hands. Still red, that happened earlier, am I correct?”
I bowed my head and pull down my sleeves. “Please, this is nothing. I promise, please resume eating.”
“I will report this to Leon.” I held his strong forearm to prevent him on walking away.
The last thing I want is a chaos in this house because of me.
“Please no.”
“Then tell me! I will let this s**t pass. You’re still young to experience that kind of assault from someone. You’re too small for that.”
I tried not to scoff. Little did he know, I’ve been getting beaten by my own father since I was fourteen, this scratch is not a big deal compared on what my father did to me. Not only scratch, he can give me a black eye and a busted lips with multiple bruise that can last for a couple of weeks.
Trixy’s mistreatments are not that hard compared to Papa. I’m numb from the physical abuse.
“Please, do not tell someone, Sir Wallace.”
“Talk.”
I looked at him, hoping he will drop the subject this time but he I know, he won’t stop. I left out a huge sigh before nodding my head, “Miss Trixy scratched me earlier.” I whispered.
“That b***h ass slut!?!” He yelled, I flinched. I covered his mouth and looked at the surroundings.
“You said you will zip your mouth!” I whined like a little girl.
“Sorry. But that b***h scratched you? What happened?”
“She’s bored, she said.”
“That spoiled b***h!” He hissed. “Does Leon know what that w***e doing to you?”
“No. She acts like she’s kind of nice to me whenever Sir Leon is not around. She’s good at faking her attitude, I give her that.”
We both left out a deep sigh. Sir Leon never noticed all the bullying and the evilness she’s been doing to me. Sir Leon is clueless whatsoever, which is, on the lucky hand I’m much more thankful. At least he is more pre-occupied by Miss Trixy to pay attention to me.
Now that his girlfriend is here, evil girlfriend,I want to add, he is not bored anymore.
I came back on my work and washed the lettuce properly and silently. There’s no point on standing and have some chat on him. I trusted him not to tell, that’s on him if he’s gonna rat on me.
“That’s so f*****g greedy, keeping and eating that good ass chocolate cake in here, mate.” The blue eyed guy entered the kitchen. I immediately pulled down my sleeves before he reach our spot.
Sir Wallace gave me a meaningful look and I shook my head lightly to remind him not to say a single thing about the scratch wound.
“Oh, hello there darling.” The British handsome guy is now smiling at me. I gave a good smile.
“Hello, Sir. Would you like to have some cake?”
“I’m all right.”
“Why are you here, Pol?” Wallace spoke.
“What? Is this your house? You, what are you doing here, ravishing a cake?”
“Because my beautiful girlfriend won’t let me eat because she’s mad at me. Dang it, pregnant woman is really something.” Sir Wallace whined.
“Someone tamed the motherfucker.”
“Do not curse in front of Bella, you idiot.”
I smiled apologetically to Sir Pol, or is that his name? I didn’t recall all of their names because I was too busy building up my patience for Trixy. “Sorry, Sir. It’s not really good for my own hearing but do if you must.”
“No kid. All good. But dang it. You really look like a doll. Are you sure you’re a real person?”
“Yes.” I muttered as I continue doing my work. He was about to say something when another guy entered the room.
A tall guy with a strong facial feature. He’s wearing a simple white long sleeve polo, tucked in a fitted slacks that made his lower body part more defined. The sleeves of his poli is rolled up to his elbow.
I felt my face got hot when our eyes met. That blazing ash eyes were hypnotising. In all of these Sir Leon’s friends, he is the second one that caught my attention aside from Sir Leon. He’s stubbornly handsome.
“Sage! My man! I see you made it here.” I flinched when I heard Sir Wallace’s yelling from the distant.
I finished working on the lettuce as the three handsome men started a conversation.
“Just got out of my eight hour operation. I can dig up a free dinner.”
“Oh? Would like you some cake? This is good ass cake—sorry for the language, Doll.” Sir Wallace flashed a cheeky smile on me and I just shrugged.
“You know what I want? You pay your bills in my hospital, you wanker!” The handsome guy hissed.
“Yeah. Sage’s right mate. Pay up.”
“Nah nah nah. After Paige gave birth, then I will pay. Doll, could you please give me some water?”
“Put a poison in his water, please. I’m about to murder his ass. Poison is my best option.” The handsome guy spoke again.
“f**k you, Mulligan.”
I chuckled as I shook my head. “You know, if you punctured his lungs, his body will not float and nobody’s going to find his body. Or you could use a sharp ice stick and it will leave no evidence because once the ice is melted, the DNA will disappear as well.”
I heard their gasped of amusement and I smiled innocently.
“I love you. Marry me?” Sir Sage said as he approached and raised his right hand for a high five. “Meet me after dinner? We’ll plot the murder of this son of a bitch.”
“I’m— I’m just joking.” I said.
“How’d you know that stuff?” Sir Pol asked me, amusement is still laying thick on his face.
“I read stuffs and I watch documentaries with Leandra when I do have time.”
“I like you already. I’m Sage by the way.”
That’s true. I always enjoy reading crime stuffs and histories to educate myself. Since I cannot afford to be on college, I educate myself on how to survive this real world. Half of my knowledge came from my books and documentaries not from schools.
“Okay. Pol, If I die tonight, you know who to rat okay? Doll, I thought we’re friends? You hurt my feelings. Ouch.”
“At least she’s educated enough to know her stuff. Unlike that Princess Trixy of Götaland.” Sir Pol rolled his eyes, “Always thinks she’s that special.”
“She’s posh and s**t but she’s the definition of a dumbass. I hate her for real.” Sir Wallace said. Him and Sir Pol shared a loud laugh.
“Wait, the dinner is about that girl? Okay, I’m out. Bye.” Sir Sage said and hurried out of the kitchen but when he’s about to reach the entrance, Sir Leon and Trixy entered the room.
And I tried so hard not to roll my eyes when she is now on her angel character.
“What’s going on here?” Sir Leon asked. Miss Trixy’s hand were linked into his arms like a snake. Sir Leon is handsome as ever but his image were ruined by the witch beside him.
“Nothing. Just sharing a joke with Miss Dolly Belle here. Nothing that concerns you or that girl beside you.” Sir Wallace pressed.
“I have a name, Wallace. We’ve known each other for years, you know?”
“And I care, because? Shut your ugly face, I don’t want to talk to you.” Annoyance is visible in his voice. Sir Wallace turned to me and smiled, “Doll, I would love a refill please.”
“And who gave you the right to order her around?”
“I can do whatever I want, Leon. And Bella and I are friends, like I said nothing that concerns you or that dumb b***h of yours.”
“You’re not paying her.”
“She’s doing what I said. And she kind and nice, that’s why I cannot fathom the fact that someone would do such thing on her just because of irrational reason.”
My eyes snapped at Sir Wallace. I am not that dumb not to see what’s he is doing. He’s trying to hint Sir Leon on what Trixy did to me. I unconsciously lowered my cardigan sleeves.
“What?”
We all snapped up our glance to the man who recently entered the room. Sir Crow and Sir Damon is standing tall with a serious expression on their faces, “Are we having party here?”
“Hello, love.” Sir Damon greeted everyone, even though he is looking to me.
“Good evening too, Da—“ Trixy were cut off short by Sir Damon’s annoyed face.
“I’m not talking to you, shut up.” Sir Damon snapped.
Another man entered the room. Seriously, how many gorgeous men Sir Leon is friends with?
“Psyche! Look at her! She’s a human doll!” Sir Pol exclaimed like a child, pointing at my face.
And just like that, every men in this room except Sir Leon and Miss Trixy (of course), came to me and examine my face.
“Looky! She looks unreal.” Sir Damon muttered.
“Yeah, that round beautiful eyes is a killer.” Sir Wallace says
“And that long natural eyelashes? Damn girl.” Sir Pol chuckles
“That long shiny hair. What’s your shampoo, boo?” Sir Crow says, caressing my hair like I’m just a mannequin.
“And she’s not only a beautiful little girl, she’s smart too. We’ll be plotting how to murder Wallace, later. Right, love?” Sir Sage said.
I took step backward because their faces so close to me made me so uncomfortable. “Please, don’t stare at me.” I say quietly.
“That’s enough. Let’s have dinner.” Sir Leon spoke with a hint of annoyance and anger in his voice.
I turned my back to go inside the kitchen so they can do their event for tonight.
When I came to the dining hall to serve their desert that night, they are now having a different conversation. Miss Trixy is trying to convey a conversation with the gorgeous men but no one seems to care about her presence.
I got all of their attention effortlessly when I put the red velvet cake on the table. Sir Sage and Sir Pol offered me a smile and I returned it.
“Feeling close to these gorgeous men, are you, slave?” Miss Trixy, once again opened her mannerless spoiled mouth.
“N-no.”
“What the f**k did you call her?” Sir Leon asked, glaring to her.
“What? She’s a poor slave thinking she’s just beautiful when she looks like a rat.”
“You look like a frog but we don’t complain. When are you going to shut up, you narcissistic b***h?” Sir Crow asks, swirling his wine.
I tried to leave but what Trixy said made me froze in my spot.
“I know, her mum’s a w***e that’s why she’s good looking like that.”
“Take that back.”
“Why would I? I guess that’s true. Why don’t you go and work like a stripper or a prostitute like your mother? Stop seducing these rich men, you social climber.”
She raised her brow, “You think I didn’t noticed? Using these men to get out of your poor status. Willing to be a mistress just for money. Tell me, how many guys you slept with? How much of a w***e is your mother? You’re poor and uneducated, you’ll end up in streets like a worthless piece of crap that you are.”
“Trixy!” Sir Leon gasped.
My mind went to frenzy. I saw red and the only thing I want to do to her ruin her face.
I walked towards her and splashed her wine in her face.
“I took all your insults and your bullying against me. I silenced myself because I need this job but you crossed the line. You don’t even know me or my mother. You don’t know what I’ve been through the moment she decided to leave the country to work for me. She’s not a w***e. She’s well mannered woman unlike you.”
“And what’s wrong about being a stripper and a prostitute? Just because you are on top of the food chain you will belittle everyone who’s working just to survive this cruel world. Unlike you, my mother taught me to respect everyone regardless of their job. Not all of us were born with a golden spoon inside out mouths. Some of us need to hold from the edge of a knife to survive.”
“Hating on me because I get their attention effortlessly is not going to make you shine. You think you ruined something in me? Judging me and all, bullying me and making me your slave.”
“I maybe uneducated but I use my brain. I maybe uneducated but I’m not relevant-feeling like you. I maybe poor and uneducated but I can proudly say that I’m smarter than you. I doubt that you have a single ounce of brain.”
“Lastly, you’re rich and dumb but that doesn’t give you a right to judge me and throw a shade on me in front of them like I have something lose because I have nothing, I’m not from the Hollywood after all.”
I turned my back and cheered myself silently. I didn’t cry in front of them. But one thing is for sure, I am so fired.
I turned my heel to my bedroom and decided to get all of my things. I will leave this mansion first thing in the morning so Sir Leon would not scold me for disrespecting his guest.
She deserves it anyway. I don’t take disrespect, my mother raised no weakling.
