"Bella! Are you done? We need to drive you back to your boss' mansion." I heard the whispers of Helios from the outside of our apartment. I tip toed pass by the living room because my father's sleeping. Snoring and wasted. I always do this, sneak in every Monday morning around five in the morning to get ready for the day before Helios drive me back while I spend my day-off in Leandra's apartment.
I opened the door and Helios is already waiting for me outside. He peaked through the door and shook his head. Even though he didn't utter a word, I know what's on his mind. My father never fails to come home drunk. He never wonder where I've been. It hurts that he never asked Leandra about me but that's okay. I always make sure to ask Leandra or Helios to bring him some food so he won't get hungry.
"Let's go." I said while combing my hair with my fingers. I left my hair brush at the mansion because I was rushing to left to avoid seeing Sir Leon or even have a talk to him.
I've been avoiding him on purpose for almost a month now. I always make up excuses to avoid talking to him. I always finish cleaning the second floor ten minutes before he get out of his room. And when in dining hall, I always avoid his eyes when I feel he is looking at me.
After he said the he does not want to be my friend and after my conversation with Cohen, I just realized I have to remember and go to my place. Where I really belong.
Our closeness isn't right at all. His treatment towards me are so unfair from the other staffs. He doesn't kiss, hug and call baby Aurora, Millie or even Sonia. Avoiding him is really the good choice for me and for everyone.
I realized as well that what if he is in a relationship and he is too close to me? What would his girlfriend say? I should stay out of trouble. If I want to keep my job, I should avoid getting close contact with my boss and carry on my life.
"Call me when you have time, hmm?" Helios said after kissing my forehead. I hopped out of his car and nodded. "I will. Have a great week, Helios."
"You too." I smiled and waved him goodbye. I watched his car for moment before I decided to open the gate and go in. It's little bit early but I know Pier is already in the kitchen having coffee.
I was passing the walkway with beautiful bushes on the side when someone stood tall in front of me. My eyes widen when I saw Sir Leon, standing in front of me, looking at me straight into my eyes. His honey colored eyes were furious. I stepped back but he caught me, encircled his strong arm around my waist and pressed me close into his chest.
I looked away because I was getting hypnotize by his eyes.
"S-sir." I stuttered. I swallowed hard.
"Look at me." He said in a murderous tone. I was f0rced to look at him because I got nervous. He is mad at me. Am I getting hit? Should I close my eyes and just take all the hit just like how I let my father hit me before?"
"You're ignoring me. Why?" He started, still holding my close to his warm body. "And letting that son of a b***h kiss you where my lips had been. That's a very bad girl right there." He muttered dangerously.
What?" I say, completely trying to remove my gaze from his eyes. "Helios always do that. We are friends." I defended myself. He talks like he is accusing me of something I never did.
He titled his head. His sharp strong jaw clenched. He wrapped his strong veiny arms around me tighter. I can smell his masculine scent with a bit of sweet scent but you won't smell it until you are too close to him.
"I don't like it when someone is too close to you. I don't like it when someone is kissing your forehead. I don't like it when you're smiling with other stupid son of bitches. I don't like it at all baby. Do something about this."
He called me baby again. I think my heart just did a back flip. I shivered when she touched my hair. I cannot think properly. I should let go of his tight embrace and do my lovely job. I should push him away, avoiding him like he is somewhat a plague. Not this, enjoying his touch, dreaming of him again.
This is so wrong. Wrong in so many level.
I was about to push him away when his phone rang. He finally let go of me. I didn't realised that I'm holding my breathe for too long. I left out a sighed and decided to left him alone with his phone call. I walked pass him but I didn't manage to walk because he grabbed my left hand/
He mouthed 'stay here.' before accepting his call. I looked down, don't an ounce of idea what the hell am I still doing here. Does he need something from me again? What I could possibly do for him at this early time?
"Hello? Leon? Where are you? I told you to come and pick me up!" I didn't mean to pry but I heard clearly what the voice said back in the other line. It's a woman.
"Victoria, I told you I'm busy. And where did you get my number?"
"I miss you, honey."
My heart shattered when I heard what the woman said. I remained looking on the ground while Sir Leon is talking to the woman.
"f**k. Will you shut up? All right. I'll come pick you up." Sir Leon said without hesitation. I knew it. He's in a relationship. Pushing him away is really the right thing to do.
But why he said a lot of rubbish earlier? Is he playing with me? Or I'm just getting the wrong idea of his actions? He only see me as his youngest staff that's why he treated me the way he treated me these past few months? Or he is just bored and saw me interesting, decided to play with me until his girlfriend comes home?
Whatever his reason, I should stay away. I don't want to ruin their relationship.
"Sir Leon, let go of my hand, please." I started. He looked at me with a confused eyes. "I have to go in and do my work."
"But baby---" I cut him of shortly.
"Please? Sonia might see us or the other staff. I have to go in and get ready for my day." When I felt that his grip on my wrist loosened, I removed it completely and walked away. I heard him calling my name but I didn't look back.
He got a girlfriend to pick up.
I went in and decided to go straight to the kitchen, wherein I saw Isaac and Millie talking.
"Good morning, Bella." I smiled at Aurora when she greeted me.
"Good morning, Aurora. Got a good day-off?"
"Yes. Spent it with my kid. Come and have some coffee with us." I nodded and made my way to the kitchen counter. Sonia is already cooking. Millie offered to bring my bag in front of my room since she's going to the staff's wing.
Isaac gave me a cup of coffee that he made. I sat beside him and we started our conversation about the things we are both interested in. We both have a thing in plants, which is not surprising because he is the gardener of the staff. He also loves reading books and he kept on recommending me a good books I should read.
Talking with them is the best conversation we can have.
The morning went well and fast. I was spending my time helping Isaac with his plants and watering the lilies.
Sir Leon came home with a beautiful woman, her arms wrapped around his waist possessively. She looks beautiful and snobbish with her thick, red lipstick on. She got a short, jet black hair partnered with her well manicured long nails. I saw her kissing Sir Leon's knuckles earlier and I cannot help but to feel annoyed at her. And the worst part is, Sir Leon is not doing anything to stop her.
So much for being sweet to me when he's in a relationship. He's a flirty old man and I feel stupid for falling for his sweet acts.
"Isaac? Who is the scary woman?" I whispered when I saw the witch looking girl peeking at us. Isaac didn't turn around but I saw his playful smirk.
"I don't even know too. But based on Aurora and Millie's description, she's not a very good person." Isaac shrugged and guided my hand on how to flatten the soil properly, "Yeah, that's pretty good. Just wash your hands later and continue flatten that soil."
"She scares me." I admitted and he left out a laugh. "She looks like an evil witch. I know, bells." I shook my head to prevent my self from laughing so hard. "Laugh. I know you want to laugh" He said. I cannot help but to laugh and feel bad at the same time.
We are really bullying her but at the same time, it feels right, like a fact. I stopped laughing when she approached us with a smug smirk. She arched her left brow and stare at me.
"You. Stand up." She commanded. I did what I was told. I bowed my head. "Who are you?"
"I'm Bella, ma'am."
"Hmm." She hummed and continue on staring at me. "You want a picture?"
"Picture of what?" I asked. I turned my glance to her face and I cannot fathom how thick her foundation. Her face is full of make-up. She's beautiful from this angle but her claws are really freaking me out. She can just easily snatch my eyes out with that sharp nails.
"You don't know me? Don't act like you don't know me."
"Are you relevant?" I asked casually. She looks flushed from my comment and she looks like she's about to explode from too mad anger.
I gasped when she pour the water from the watering can on me. My hair is all wet now, so as the upper part of my uniform. Isaac rushed to my side and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Why did you do that?'' She's doing nothing." Isaac asked, while consoling. I felt the tears rushing through my face.
Did I do something wrong? I'm just asking her a simple question, why pour water on me?
"Listen here, you little poor ugly b***h, I'm relevant. I'm richer than you. Stay on your poor side and respect me. You have no right on asking me who I am. We are not on the same level. Respect your superior, maid." With that, she threw little glare at me and walked away.
"What happened?'' I don't know how or when Millie, walked towards our direction.
"The woman, Sir Leon brought here pour the water on Bella." Isaac muttered.
"Trixy? The self proclaimed Hollywood actress when in reality, no one wants her on the business because of her attitude?"
"She's an actress?" I asked. That's why she asked me if I want a picture, she thinks I know her. "I asked her who is because she asked if I want a picture and I asked if she's relevant and then she exploded in anger." I explained.
Isaac Millie's jaw dropped and left out a loud laugh. "You're savage! No one has ever flipped her off like that before, not even one of us did even though he's f*****g mean to us!"
"Ahh Bells, you're amazing. That's why she looked offended earlier." Isaac laughed. Millie collapsed on the near the pool, still laughing while holding her stomach.
"Aurora will be your fan after I tell her what you did." She commented.
I just looked at them, feeling guilty. First, me and Isaac bullied her physical appearance now, I just offended her. Maybe if she just told me who she is, I will not ask if she's relevant or not.
"I'm gonna lose my job because I was disrespectful." I pouted. Isaac ruffled my wet hair and put his hand all over my shoulder again. "I guess not. But be careful, she will put all her attention to you and annoy the f**k out of you."
I sighed. I guess I'm about to deal with bullying again.
