You need to stretch it, Ciara. The source will grow faster the more you engage with it." I nodded slowly, heart thudding behind my ribs like a trapped bird. "I hear you... I just... need a little time." She studied my face, her gaze both gentle and knowing, as if she could see the storm churning beneath my skin. Then she smiled. "You don't have to rush. I'll be here when you're ready." I told her I'd get back to her soon and thanked her for understanding. The moment she walked off, I turned and started pacing.
