Zovern sat on a chair he pulled beside Noni.
"Have a seat," Emyr invited him belatedly.
"Thank you," Zovern replied but his gaze was on Noni. His admiring glance touched her from head to toe.
Noni glared at him but said nothing. She ignored him after that and continued sipping her water.
"Zovern." Emyr kicked him at the knee.
"What?" Zovern was startled.
"Would you like sausages?"
Ponso put a setting for Zovern silently. He provided a glass and utensils, too.
"No. The food here is better." Zovern eyed the steak eagerly. He held the spoon and fork awkwardly.
"Here." Emyr taught Zovern the proper way to hold the utensils and to eat steak.
Noni had a positive effect on Zovern. Emyr had tried to teach him to act properly as human in the past but he always refused.
