'Ara!' Emyr heard her distress. He maneuvered to go back. He swooped downside.
And he saw her falling. Her arms and legs were flailing. Unconsciously groping for something to hold on...
'Oh, Ara! Don't die! Don't die!' he chanted these words as he waved his wings faster.
Alva held on to his neck tightly. Emyr was grateful because he remained alert even though he wanted to be careless.
Another dragon beat him to get to Ara.
'Noni!'
Noni did not glance at him. She had the determined look as she dived recklessly through the air. She did a dangerous maneuver and knocked the head of Zovern. He came around from his panicked stupor. He fluttered his wings agitatedly while looking around.
'Ara! Where's Ara?' Emyr reached Noni.
Noni opened her mouth. Ara was slumped on her serrated teeth.
