“WHAT!?!” I slam my hand down on the desk. I don’t know how this happened, but I need to get that pack back. They are vital to my push to get their neighboring packs to line with me. Not to mention that they have a lucrative wholesale business, which includes a nice import/export branch.
I want that pack!
I glare at Beta Malcolm.
Through gritted teeth, I hiss, “They were ready to sign at the gathering. Why did they back out? Or do you know?”
Beta Malcolm calmly stares back at me. “They didn’t really say. What they did say is that they now have a conflict that they won’t be able to sign our alliance agreement. I didn’t push the issue either.”
What a freaking i***t. Why didn’t he push the matter? I need to know their reasons so I can counter them.
