  Mike   I slowly open my eyes. The bright sun instantly makes me squint and close them again.   I’m alive.   I thought I was dead.   I’m sure that I was being ripped to pieces.   I lift my arm to block the bright sun from my eyes as I slowly open them back up. Wait. I thought I was in my wolf form. My wolf!   I mentally ask, “Are you still here with me?”   My wolf slowly mumbles, “Yeah, but I need to rest.”   Oh, that is a relief.   I move to sit up, but pain instantly shoots through my entire body.
