"I can't believe I got fired so quickly," Amelia sighed, dropping the smile she had been maintaining for the past few minutes while pretending to be okay as she listened to Augusto apologize for having to fire her. Even though she had imagined she might be fired due to her lack of skill, she wasn't prepared to be dismissed so quickly and had to work hard not to end up crying in front of Augusto and to not show how upset she was.
