Itzal let Amelia observe Lucas for a few more minutes before gently touching her arm and indicating that she follow him down the corridor. She walked with him in silence to another room, a few doors away. Unlike Lucas’s room, this one was a consultation room used by the army’s physical therapist. At the back of the consultation room, there was a door leading to a rehabilitation space filled with equipment necessary for physiotherapy. That space was often used by the soldiers since injuries and strains were common for those who ventured outside the pack, but Itzal knew no one used the consultation room at that hour of the night, giving him and Amelia the chance to talk without interruptions.
