Episode Three

The moment I left Moonlit, I was determined to do away with everything from my past that might stand in my way or hinder me from taking a step forward. And I believed I was doing just that until the very moment this mysterious man stepped through that door with an offer that he claimed will change my life. Somehow, I couldn't help but think if I was about to trade one danger for another. “Have a seat Aurora, I do not bite, except for my wolf of course!” He teased and a light chuckle appeared on his face, but I remained cautious. I took a seat opposite him keeping some distance between us to defend myself if necessary. "Maya, any advice?" I asked my wolf silently. "Be careful. This man could be trouble". Maya replied, her voice serious. "Everyone is weird, besides I have you, so I shouldn't be afraid right?" I tried to reassure myself. "You shouldn't count on that, I do not have a lot of training yet". "Remind me about that when he chose to murder me before a crowd". I responded to her in a cheeky tone. “Go ahead and speak Mister, what do you want from me?” I asked keeping my expression neutral. “How about an opportunity where you are no longer a rogue, rather a member of the famous Goddess pack”. He proposed. I scoff sarcastically at the suggestion. Was this man trying to lure me into danger? “You think that the ruthless Alpha Magnus will accept me into his pack”. I asked incredulously. “Just say the word, and I will make it happen". He replied. “What are you getting in return?” Somehow, I got interested in whatever he was offering. This man knows my name and also that I am a rogue wolf, so of course he would be able to tell how desperate I am for a pack. “It is just a simple task. I will get you into the Goddess pack house, and all you need to do is get close to Alpha Magnus and make him fall in love with you”. He explained. “Fall in love with me?” I scrunch my brow, perplexed by his words. “Come on dear Aurora, don't act naive. I want you to get close to him and make him fall madly in love with you” “You do know how crazy that sounds right? Alpha Magnus is a ruthless playboy and will never fall in love with an omega like me. How do you expect me to change that". I said more of a fact than to him. “There is no way he will figure out you are an omega because you have that concealed. With that advantage, you can become someone new. I nodded my head. Part of what he was saying made sense, but then again he was asking me to do the impossible. “But how in the world can I make him fall for me?” “I have done my part. I will help you get inside the pack and not just the pack but the pack house, give you a job there and the rest is left for you to figure out”. He explained while checking to see if I was paying attention. “And if he is unable to fall for me?” I asked, my anxiety growing. “You should know the answer to that. You will face the consequences” He replied coldly. “What happens next if I make him fall for me?” I pressed. “Your next task will be sent to you once you complete the first task. Until then, I can't reveal anymore information”. He said, emphasizing the secrecy of the task. “Do we have a deal or not?” I weighed both the risks and rewards. Living as a rogue is dangerous and this deal offered me a new life. “Fine! A deal it is” I agreed cautiously. A sly smile curled up his lips as he dipped his hand into his coat and pulled out a white paper containing two pages. “Sign this with your blood”. He instructed, handing me a needle. “What is this?” I asked confused. “A blood oath that stands as a witness to our agreement”. I stared curiously at the document curiously for a while before taking a moment to go through it, word by word. I was able to attain some level of education at a tender age, but once I became a servant at the pack house, I stopped going to school and only focused on serving Alpha Theo. However, even with my low level of education, I could clearly see that this contract wasn't an ordinary one. I hesitated for a moment before I pierced my finger with the needle he gave me. There was a tickle of blood on it. Slowly I placed my pierced finger on the white paper and my blood was painted on it. “It is so nice doing business with you Aurora. My name is Alpha Anderson and I trust that you will complete your mission successfully”. He said, introducing himself at last. “What! Alpha Anderson?” I widened my brows realizing that I did not ask this man his name or identity while I made such a dangerous pact with him. I didn't expect to be dealing with such a powerful figure. “Get ready, I will send someone to pick you up by tomorrow and she will explain to you everything that you need to know about Alpha Magnus”. “Yes Sir”. “It is Alpha, I am your Alpha and you have pledged allegiance to me by signing that contract”. Remember your loyalty, he warned. “Yes Alpha” .I responded knowing that things were about to change. After my shift that day, I carefully explained everything to Bobby and he could not help but sigh as he listened to me. “You do understand that was a dangerous move right?” He asked. “At the very least, I get a pack to call home. I can't be a rogue Bobby, I am so scared” I replied. “I know that, and that was why I accepted you the first day you stepped your feet in here. I could hear your heartbeat from a mile away. You looked so scared”. He teased and we both chuckled. “But you need to be extra careful Aurora, and keep your head down. Alpha Anderson is a very cunny and dangerous man and and Alpha Magnus on the other hand is no different. It is going to difficult taming him”. He advised. I lowered my head at his response, feeling disappointed. “It is going to be difficult but not impossible. Every man has a weak point and I just need to find that point. And I will visit from time to time to see how you are doing”. I assured him. “I look forward to that”. He patted my back before I scurried to the storage room where my little belongings were kept. The next day, I got dressed in a plain black gown and stood outside the bar waiting for whoever was going to come pick me up. A sleek black Hilux finally drove into the surroundings and came to a stop right in front of me. A woman then stepped out and asked “Aurora?” “Yes, that's me”. I replied to the lady who should be in her early twenties. She had a caramel skin color that was smooth and complimented the brown crop top and sunglasses she wore. “Get in!” She instructed and I complied, clutching onto my bag tightly. “I am Kate. I trust the Alpha explained everything to you”. She asked. “Mostly the surface” “That is as much as you need to know” “Can you cook?” “Yes I can”. I replied though I'm surprised with the questions she asked me. “Good! Because I already told my boss about you and she agreed that you can work at the kitchen”. "Oh". I exclaimed having understood the reasons behind her questions. “Thank you somuch”. I continued “Don't thank me yet". Kate replied. "Complete your mission, keep your head down and make sure that no one finds out about your pact with Alpha Anderson. Alpha Anderson and Alpha Magnus are formidable opponents. “Yes I will” I promised as I listened to her explain everything to me before she finally drove off. As we drove off, I had a fe eling that my life was about to take a dangerous turn. But with Maya by my side, I had hope that everything was going to be alright.
