As the night continues, Erin walks to the train station, but she notices a black Maserati is following her from behind. Then the car stopped beside her; she stepped back cautiously. The car door opened and revealed a man wearing a black Armani suit; it was none other than Damon Lawson himself. With well-groomed hair, neat luxurious attire, and captivating looks.
As the moonlight shines on him, it was so stunning to see; she saw a man gifted with such so captivating beauty. Erin gazed upon his fierce dark brown eyes with thick-set eyebrows and thin lips. He was standing there confidently, chin up and letting out a dazzling smile showed. She notices the visible dimple on his right cheek when he smiles.
"Greeting Ms. Erin Austin," he said with a husky confident voice.
"How can I help you?" Erin replied while holding tightly onto her shoulder strap bag. Her fingertips were trembling in fear.
He noticed Erin trembling fingertips. "Calm down, Ms. Austin," he chuckled. "I would never hurt a helpless lady like you," he added. Erin stared at him; she felt uneasy. " I need to go home," she muttered. " I just want to talk to you personally," he replied. Damon opened his car, welcoming Erin inside. But, Erin ignores him, and she continues to walk; she stops midway and responds.
" We don't have anything to discuss, Mr. Lawson," then continued to walk away.
Damon laughed, "I think we need to discuss something, sweetheart," he yelled.
Erin stopped; he looked back at him. Her arms are still trembling. “ If you’re going to say something, say it now,” she responds. “ Maybe we can go somewhere private?” Damon answered. Erin didn’t know what to do; she didn’t want to involve this person. She bravely replied, “ No, here is fine as it is, sir!.”
"Okay fine; if you insisted," he replied with an enigmatic smile. Standing on the side of the road.
"Maybe we can go to the nearest park," he suggested.
"No," she firmly replied " I'm not taking any suggestion from you, I already know you and what you did to my father," she added. " Really?, so I'm the bad guy? he replied sarcastically.
"Do you know what he did?, he should be thankful that's all I did to him," he responded with a snickering smile.
"Leave us alone, or I will call the police, Mr. Lawson, I dare you!" she angrily hissed.
Damon approached her; she stepped back anxiously. He was standing so closely at her, only an inch apart. Damon looks down at her. " I think you don't know me well, Ms. Austin," he snapped. Her eyes widened in fear. She suddenly lost balance; faltered on the ground. "Your stupid father owned me a lot, and I'm expecting it to return in twelve months; if not, I think you know what I’m saying, Ms. Austin.” he declared.
" We don't own you anything!" she yelled.
Damon glared at her, " then I think you know what’s coming, Ms. Austin, he replied—pointing at Erin’s forehead; it’s like his acting to shoot her dead. Erin was so petrified she was unable to move. Damon grabbed his phone and called someone. A minute later, a black Maserati arrives. He quickly gets in. the car slowly opens the window then Damon throws a $100 bill.
“ We will meet again, Ms. Austin,” he chuckled “ Get yourself something nice to eat,” he added as he closed the window; they quickly drove off. Leaving Erin stunned in the ground. When she comes back to her senses, She clenches her fist and promptly gets up. “I don’t want your stupid money!” she yelled, then threw it in the air.
Three- days had passed, she received a phone call from the nurse on duty at the hospital; the nurse’s voice was very concerning; Erin quickly grabbed his bag and rushed to the hospital. The nurse told her everything; two significant men were in her father’s ward, after that day, he disappeared with only a note left behind in the bed. The duty nurse stated, handing her the letter.
She received it and opened the letter, “ You are on your own,” stated in the letter with a blood fingerprint underneath. “Dad, what did you do?” she mumbled underneath her breath.
At her apartment, she analyzes the letter, Erin knows who it was, but she doesn’t have enough evidence to support her presumption. She is worried about where her father went even though they have a mess up relationship; she truly cares for his safety. She knows her father never disappears like that without any money in his pocket. Erin starts the search for his missing father.
On that very next morning, she went to the hospital to request the security camera footage. Unfortunately, It needed at least a couple of days or months for the request to approve in the hospital. Erin was desperate for an answer to her father’s disappearance. She went to room C45 to ask a couple of nurses on duty on that day, but none of it gave her any pieces of information. Erin went to different wards to ask a couple of patients if they saw his father; she took out her father’s photo and gave it to them. But none of them saw or even noticed his father on that day. Erin looked at the time; she was already late from work.
She hurriedly rides the bus, sits in the backseat. Erin was tired because she had almost missed the bus. “ Where are you, dad?” she muttered to herself. Erin was already in the school; unfortunately, she was already late, and the student was already in the classroom with their substitute teacher because they thought she was absent today. The principal office is called Erin. The school principal told her that it was the first time she was late for work. Erin explained her situation about her father missing. The principal understands her situation, but it needed to separate the personal life and the work zone to avoid any problems. Erin apologizes for the inconvenience she makes.
