“Ain’t you afraid someone will see you like that?”
“What do you think Dog was doing up there, I ain’t stupid,” her eyes shifted to her clothes and Josie noticed the rifle lying against a fallen tree.
“What brings you out here?”
“Your mom,” she sat on the trunk, “she dropped me off up there and just drove off.”
“Shame, good looking woman like you and all,” Melanie took a few steps backwards and the water level rose to her upper thighs.
