"Go to the back and help Milo stock the new inventory, please. He's running behind today," Bob asked me, his brown hair graying by the minute.
His brow was permanently in a scowl, probably from having to deal with stupid people all his life. I couldn't imagine the kinds of idiotic questions he had gotten while running this store. Bob was a pretty cool dude, but he was more sour than a lemon at times. This was one of those times.
"You got it, boss." I saluted him, making my way to the back.
"Before you start, Bob already railed into me, so just help me and don't lecture, okay?" Milo immediately greeted me, knowing I was about to chew his ass out.
"Alright, fine. But if you take too long, you'll hear me gripe for the rest of the night."
