These past two days had been the longest of my life without June by my side. Everything felt so boring again without her. It took everything in me not to act on my wild impulses and do stupid s**t. I was doing my best to keep my promise of staying out of trouble, but it was so much harder when I was bored. Tomorrow, Tiff would be out of town with her family, leaving me to have my best friend all to myself for once. Maybe then I would finally be entertained.
I was mindlessly stocking shelves when Bob asked me to cover the register for Georgia, who was busy having a baby. Register is the spot I hate being at most.
