After going to the washroom to check my makeup and hair, I find the directory to locate Mr. Rossi’s office.
6th floor, room #15.
I get on the elevator, palms sweating, and start to formulate my plan.
If I walk in with enough confidence, maybe I can convince the secretary that I have an appointment with Mr. Rossi? Or maybe I should try to circumvent the secretary strategy altogether and go with a different approach?
My heartbeat is racing. I take a deep breath and tell myself to calm down. I’ll just have to wing it.
I locate room 615, and with shaking fingers, I open the door. I paste on a bright smile as I walk in. As I scan the front office, I notice multiple secretaries, all busy answering phones. I make a split second decision. I’m just going to act like I work here.
