MICH READ THROUGH THE file for the third time in as many minutes. The information didn’t change, but she reread it with the vague hope it might anyway. She had to get after Charley and follow Wen to the plantation, but figured the two men could handle themselves a while longer while she dealt with the file’s contents.
After her long interrogation, she’d returned to Lazydragon tired and in need of a shower, fearing the key and codes the men gave her wouldn’t work. She was pleasantly surprised to find she had no trouble gaining access. The moment she stepped into the entry hall, a flashing light from the wall monitor caught her eye.
