SEARING PAIN TORE REL from the arms of his beautiful wife and awakened him with a start. He’d fallen asleep on watch. Dresh. He grabbed at the cramp in his calf and stifled a yelp at the pain radiating from the area. Pulling his leg off the panel he’d squashed it against, he forced the muscle to stretch. When that didn’t work, he struggled to his feet and hobbled around the cockpit, groaning loudly. Zeth burst through the doorway. “What is it?” he demanded. Rel just looked at him. Zeth stared for a moment longer before sliding into the copilot’s chair, covering his mouth with his hand. “It’s not resing funny,” Rel growled.
