Chapter 1. Eighth Grade" The move, Wade Jefferson again."

Cherry POV:

" Hey Girls! Come down here for a minute." said, my Dad.

" Okay, we our down." Sherry said." 

 So, I and Sherry walked down the stairs we heard them talking about this is wonderful news honey I heard my mom said to dad.  We went to Livingroom. We saw our parents sitting down on the couch. They got quiet and started smiling. I was wondering why they got quiet when we walked into the Livingroom. Ok, I thought.

" Hey, mom and dad what is going on?" I asked. They looked at each chatter and smiled. 

"Come sit down girls. We got exciting news." My mom said.

 So, we looked at each other I and Sherry and we both thinking the same thing. Mom excepting soon. We thought.

 "Oh, Okay Girls remember how we told you about daddy putting applications for jobs for Chief of Police?"  We both nodded our heads.

" Yeah, we said."

"Well, that what we wanted to talk to you about." We did not say anything. 

"Well girls Daddy got the job! as Chief of Police at Smithville, Georgia" she said with some much happier for our father.

Wow, we all got excited, we so happy for our Dad because he got the dream job he always wanted. He was a police officer for 14 years now he going to be the chief of police now. 

"We so happy for you daddy I said." 

Then Sherry got sad. "Wait!" 

"Yeah, sweetie," our Dad said."  But Daddy, you won't be home the job at Smithville Georgia that 3 hours away from home." we will not see you at home at night." You be there and not home." Sherry said with tears in her eyes.   I was thinking the same thing. I hope not but I want my daddy home but I do want him happy too. That would be working his dream job. 

" Yea, Daddy I agree with Sherry." I said. I had tears in my eyes too. I do not want him to leave, we are remarkably close to our parents. They are our best friends. 

"Well, girls that what we wanted to talk to you about?" Sherry and I looked at mom and dad. So, we stop talking. 

"You see girls, we are going with Daddy there." 

"Huh, What?'' Sherry said all confused. Now I am confused too.  

"What I am trying to say is girls we are moving!"

  "What!" Sherry and I said at the same time.

She kept talking about her new job as a nurse in healthcare training the CNA'S for classes. She and dad are so excited about moving back to see all their old friends again. I remember one couple had a boy mine and my sister age.  His name is Wade Jefferson and we played with him and his cousin Derrick Jefferson when we were little.

"Oh, you girls remember The Jefferson's she said with a big smile. our parents’ best friends since they were in elementary school. They are our Godparents too. We just love them, the last time we saw them was a year ago when Emilia and Todd Jefferson came up to see us.

Last Year....

 I was so happy to see my friend but, he and Derrick did not show up. Sherry was looking forward to seeing Derrick too. But Then they didn't show up with Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson. But we were sad but we still like seeing Emilia and Todd Jefferson.

" Hey, little Cherry and Sherry how's our girls.”! Mr. Jefferson told us. Mrs. Jefferson picked us up hugged and kissed our cheeks. 

"We miss our girls." She said. 

"We missed you too" we told them back.

 We still looking around for the boys maybe they in the car they are coming out soon. Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson give us a little sad smile.

 "Sorry girls! they not here they are at Football camp." said, Mr. Jefferson.

Mrs. Jefferson hugged us girls again and whispered in our ears 

"My future daughter and niece." I was shocked, how did she know we liked them?

 We looked into her eyes she winked at us and walked away to talk to our mom. Mr. Jefferson waiting for us to talk.

  "Oh, that's okay maybe next time" I said. 

"Will you tell them we said hello" Sherry said the same thing. We all went into the Livingroom they started talking to our parents. they were talking about the past the good old times. 

I was sitting there running in my thought about Wade Jefferson. I was missing my friend I have not seen him since we were twelve years old. We were playing outside with my sister Sherry and Derrick and our new friends and Wade friends too.

 Wade's new friends, were Ryan and his little brother Blake and Cousin William. Mine and Sherry's new friends were Samie Marie, and Nessie, and Savannah. We all are playing hide and seek. Sammy is supposed to be here. But She didn't come. So we didn't get to meet her. Sammy, Derrick twin sister we did not get to meet her this time because she in private school. We hope we get to meet her sometime soon. So, anyway, we were still playing games. "Wade man! it is hot bro let go swimming in your pool man?" said Ryan said. Samie Marie staring at him with red blush cheeks. Oh, so Samie Marie likes Ryan! I thought with a smile. 

"Hey Sambo, why you staring at me? Ryan said. with a smirk and smug look on his face. 

"What! I am not staring at you." Samie Marie said with a blush.

 “Shut up you Meany!" Savannah said. Then he smirked.

"Oh okay whatever you say Sambo!"

" Stop saying that!" Samie Marie said." She is getting upset she hates that nickname. 

"My name is Samie Marie, not Sambo! okay." She said.

 Ryan laughed "No it's Sambo!"  he said with a wink, then she rolled her eyes at him. 

"Whatever" she said, and she walked away from him. So, I followed her to ask what wrong.

 "Samie Marie, you okay." I asked.

 "Yeah, he's a big meanly. I hate him."  

Why oh why, is he so means to me?." She asked me.

" I don't know why" I told her when she starts crying.

 I hugged her and told her.

" It be okay, the jerk faces not worth your tears Samie Marie."

 So, she laughed when I said that. So, we walked back to where Wade's pool is. We all changed into our swimming suits. A few minutes later, we went swimming in Wade's pool.  We swam for a couple of hours with the guys. They kept picking us girls up and throwing them in the water.

 But Wade just kept away from me. Why is he away from me? So, I swam up towards him.

 "Hey! I said with a big smile.

" Hey, he said with no smile.   

Why are you over here not swimming with us." I asked him.

 He didn't say anything and swam away from me and got out. But before looking at me with no facial expression, I was confused why he do that

. Wade acting weird and supposed to be my friend. He never did that before towards me, oh okay, maybe he need a break from swimming, but I know that not the reason it something does with me but what?  I let it go. Then Wade came back got in the pool with a blonde headed girl. with green eyes. She pretty I got jealous of her. Wade saw how my face was doing.

He did it on purpose. What a jerk! Wade, you going to tell all your friends what my name is? She looked at me with a big eating grin on her face and holding Wade's hand.

Oh ok, what that about? I thought.

"Oh yeah, sorry hey guys! this my girlfriend Reese Winton." Hi, she said then she waved at us." They got into the pool. started playing and laughing in the pool with our friends. I was so upset, why she here? Wade my friend, not hers. Why he replaces me with her. What so special about her? I saw red when I saw her kissed him on the cheek. His mine! I thought. He belongs to me, my friend, my crush. What is she think she doing? 

"Hey, Reese!" I heard a man's voice." Here comes out a beautiful woman, and a handsome man come outside by the pool. Hey mom and Dad! She said." smiling at her parents. They seem nice so far. "We got to go sweetie." her mother said."

 "Yeah, Daddy got business in New York tomorrow we got to catch our flight." She said." Yay! We go to New York, I love it there Reese said."

 She smiling and kissed Wade on the cheek again and hugged him. He watched my reaction on my face, I was trying not to show I am jealous, but I told my hands in my fist. Reese looked at me with a smirk on her lips and jumped out of the pool left with her parents holding their hands in the middle all excited about their trip. "Come princess, Daddy got you something specials in the limousine “Bye kids, her parents said." I watch them walked out the door, I did not know Wade was staring at me.

 I looked over he just had a blank look on his face looking at me. I looked away he went over to his friends started laughing and hanging out with them.

"Hey bro, I did not know you had a girlfriend? asked William." I do not! he said. She thinks we together because her daddy and mine are going to be business partners". We just friend that all. I did not want to mean." He looked over towards me. I saw the apology in his eyes. I nodded my head at him with a smile on my lips. He finally smiled at me. We started playing in the pool. Until we heard William yelling at Nessie?

Because Nessie hit him... "Ouch! why you hit me?" I heard him yelling at Nessie.

You touch my puppies! she said." He looked at her like she was crazy." I am telling on you for touching my pretty puppies my daddy calls my mommy's." I didn't touch you he said."  She started getting upset. "Yes, you did you bully! She kept holding on to her chest. "you touch my puppies she pointed at her chest."

"Oh whatever, he said with a blush. That funny we all started laughing. Until we heard their parents of our friends they were leaving.

" It was nice meeting you girls." I hope we get to see you again." I said. Yeah, you girls are wonderful, I hope we become best friends. Said Sherry.'' "Like you, too Cherry and Sherry love you girls already said Nessie. 

"Yeah, you guys rock! Said Savannah." I watch them leave. Sherry and Derrick went inside to get a drink.

"So, Wade said.” We were left alone in the pool. 

"So, I said." "Yeah, he said." You and Reese dating huh." " No! we not even friends. She thinks we are.

"Oh, umm... I was just asking looking anywhere but him. He so beautiful even for being 8 years old. 

"But there is someone I like he said." I looked up. "Oh, I said with joy in my voice.

"Who is that? He looked down. "Oh, you don't know her she goes to the private school with my cousin Sammy goes." Oh, okay that is great I smile at him. “What about you? Who you like he asked?”  “Umm, well I can’t say.” I like him but he does not like me, and he likes someone else. I said.”

He said “Oh, we changed the subject went back to normal, and playing in the pool. Until Sherry, Derrick came back with a drink. We never talked about that again. So, we all swimming and having fun when our parents said time to leave. Come on Girls! We are leaving said our dad.” We got out of the pool, said our goodbyes to the guys. We hugged them and Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson’s and went out of the door we got in our car. We drove off. That was the last time I saw Wade Jefferson.

Present: 5 years later:

 I was thinking about the last time I saw him. When we were 8 years old. I knew it is the last time we meet again.   I will always remember him being one of the most beautiful boys I have ever seen. He had bright blue eyes and blonde hair and he was tall being only when we were 8 years old. I wonder how he is doing. He was my friend when we were little.  My sister always teases me about him. He your boyfriend, so I get her back saying about his cousin Derrick aka D-Man Wade Jefferson called him. I hope he remembers me. I sure remember him a lot. He was my first friend and crush. My heart beating so fast thinking about him now. My face turning red." “Cherry, Cherry! I looked at my mom.”

“Huh.?

  “I asked if you are okay. my mom said."

I nodded my head; I am fine I said with a mumble.”

“Okay good, we are leaving in a week.” Mom said.”

 “Wait what? When are we leaving, I asked.”? “We are leaving at the end of this week.” Said, Daddy.”

A couple of days later: Moving day~

“We here girls! What you girls thinking about our new house.” Daddy said.”

We walked inside the house, wow it beautiful. “It’s a beautiful dad and mom.” I said.”

“We got surprised for you girls.” Our dad said.” We looked excited just like them.” What is it Dad and Mom a puppy? I asked.” No, they shook their heads. “Is it a kitten? Sherry asked.”

We asked all kinds of questions; they keep shaking their heads no. They told us to follow them outside. We both gasps, Yes! A pool.” I said excitedly. I love it jumping up and down.

Can we go swimming yet? Asked Sherry.”  “No, not yet girls.” It needs to be cleaned out first. And we need to put new water in it.” Said, Dad.”  We had a sad look on our faces. “Girls come on Dad said when he grabbed at us. We started laughing and running from him.

 He caught up to mom we think she let him catch I saw her smirk. I had a big smile on my face. I love my family. I had a tear in my eye. Thinking back to when we almost lost our Dad. I sighed. It was very scary we almost lost daddy at his job. He has shot in the chest the bullet missed his heart. He was in a coma for 3 months. I never saw my mom so depressed and worried. We heard her crying and praying every day and every night.

 “Please God, bring him back to us. We need him. I can’t live without my husband please Lord.” We hear our mom saying, and crying on her knees by our Dad hospital bed.”  We prayed he would wake up and live back at home with us again. I prayed for a safe job for him if he gets better. We thank God he answered our prayers. He woke up, our Daddy did. Then he is looking for another job, he went back to work until he got the job, here in Smithville Georgia now here we are 3 months later.

"Come girls Pizza here.” Daddy said. Hugging our mom and kissing her in the doorway. “

Gross we both said to them. They laughed and rolled their eyes. I am so happy Daddy here. We are spending time with them watching a movie eating pizza and popcorn. 

A couple of hours later:

“Okay Girl bedtime.” Said, mom. Oh, Mom! Please let us stay up with you both.” Said Sherry.”

“You girls need your sleep tomorrow first day of school.” Remember? Said, Mom.” “We know please just 10 more minutes,” I asked we give them the lip. We afraid if we look away our Daddy will not be here with us. We are so lucky daddy here with us. Thank you, God. His amazing.

“Girls, I am not going anyway, the good Lord gave me another chance to be here with my girls on earth.” He hugged us both and mom.” We started crying again. Hey! No crying.” "We stop our crying.

"I am okay, now give us a kiss get ready for bed.” He said.’’ We love you, Dad and Mom. They said they love us too. We give them both a kiss. We with upstairs to the bathroom got ready for bed.”  “We brushed our teeth we washed our face. We went to our bedroom. I used to share a bedroom with my sister. But now we have our rooms.

"Goodnight sis love you.” Sherry said.” Sherry has their room like me.

“Goodnight, Sherry I love you too.” “Sherry, I said.”

 huh.” She answered back.” You think we make friends this time.” I said.”

 “I don’t know I hope so.” It is nice to have friends.” I miss Samie Marie and Nessie and Savannah.”

I said.” Do you think Derrick remembers me? She asked. Oh yeah, of course, you’re his crush.” I giggled.” Oh, shut up she said laughing.”

Like you miss Wade.” she dragged-out his name. Yeah, yeah, I know.” I said.”

 I shook my head and rolled my eyes at her. I was thinking about tomorrow on our first day of school. I hope he recognizes me. But I got this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. 

"Okay, okay, let go to sleep said, Sherry.” Yea your right. Good night sis, I love you.” I told her. You too. We both said our prayers. Sherry was out cold asleep she always been that way fast sleeper. It takes me a while to fall asleep.

After an hour later: 

Finally getting sleepy. I closed my eyes I had a funny feeling someone or something watching me? I ignore it went to sleep.

Next morning:

Wake up, girls! We heard our mom yelling downstairs You will be late for your first day of last year for middle school.’’ She says.”

Okay, we are down in a minute. I said.’’ Yea, we are getting ready. Says Sherry.”

I washed my face, did my business, and took a real quick shower. God dress I had a nice day dress with pink flowers and lip gloss and mascara and vans grab my backpack and phone walked out my bedroom door. We both went downstairs to eat breakfast eggs and bacon and toast and we had milk and OJ.  

“Hey girls! After school comes back start home okay.”  “We love you to have a safe day at school.

“We love you too Mom and Dad you both have a good day and be safe at work.

They smiled and kissed us and hugged us goodbye.

At School: The first day of Eighth Grade Seeing Wade Jefferson again"

We walked inside the school We went to our first class. We walked inside the classroom. I looked I saw the most beautiful boy she ever saw with blonde hair with bright blue eyes.

 I know I saw them before. The next thing she knows he smirks and calling her names “Nerd” Four-eyed Ugly nerd.” He said.” I looked at him. He looks familiar to me. But she could not take her eyes off him. She was not paying attention when she fell on her knees.

The boy that called her names. Was staring at her then I heard laugher in the classroom.

Sherry folding her hands. “SHUT UP.” She screamed at them. “Mr. Wade Jefferson.” The teacher said.” I gasped and took a good look at him. They're staring at me is Wade Jefferson the only boy she ever loved. The boy called her names she knows that’s Wade would not say that to her.

 Wade Jefferson her best friend/crush. Ever since then Wade kept putting her down and calling her names.

That when it all started when Wade Jefferson making fun of me. He becomes my bullied, monster, tortured, a nightmare. All threw middle.

 Six months later: Last year of Eighth Grade:

 I am outside sitting on the bench.

"Virgin... Cherry..."

"Virgin... Cherry..."

The classmates mocking me.

I just kept reading my favorite book Pride and Prejudice, by seating on the bench. 

I just love the storyline with Mr. Darcy and Lizzie." He is a serious character and she is fun outgoing adventures, young lady. I was in the middle of the part when Lizzie and Mr. Darcy kissed.

Out of nowhere, someone grabbed my book out of my hand". "Hey! Give me my book back". 

I looked up and saw Wade Freaking Jefferson with my book in his hands. With a smirk.

 Oh no, not him anything but my sex... I mean my nightmare bully." I started to shake in my seat.

 Oh please! leave me alone. She thought. 

"Well...well... isn't my" little virgin Cherry "with a smirk on his face."  He put his hand on my thigh.

I gasp, " What's he doing?  I try to move my leg to get his hand off my thigh.  He has a smirk on his face then it turned angry because I try to move his hand away from me. 

"Ouch! Stop, it." You're hurting me". He chuckled," that the point, with a smirk."

"I didn't know my hand, was on your thigh!"  He said, With an evil smile." I was, shocked. 

Why was he touching me.”? I cannot believe it she thought. 

Just maybe he doesn't want to hurt me anymore?' Oh, what I am kidding.  Wade will never change. He will always bully me and hurt me. I wish he would accept me just for once. 

I wish he stops hurting me mentally and physically.  He scares me.  I need to leave, get away from Wade. I have this feeling... It's not good. 

Cherry I told. Myself. He is a dangerous guy. We need to stay away from him.  I can't do it. I watch him when he is not looking. I'm in love with him. I can't help but wonder. Just maybe he would be in love with me too. Dream on Cherry. I was daydreaming again. I need to stop that. Back to what going on. That means Wade got my book, and I'm trying to grab it back. 

Wade stops it. Give me my book back, please. Oh, God! The classmates laughing at me because of Wade. I wish they would just leave me alone. Especially Wade Jefferson". "Sure thing." He hands out the book towards me."

 This must be a trick. I am being cautious around him." Go on! Take it he said". A smile did not reach his eyes.  I looked at him and my book.  I Licked my lips and his eyes watched me. "I guess you don't want the book!" I guess I’ll throw it away." He said with evil chuckles."  I went to grab my book." Give it to me now Wade." 

He took the book so high in the air. I cannot reach it because I am a short petite girl.  Wade, he is taller than me and stronger than me.  I try to jump up, but he would move on me." Awww... I am getting frustrated with him. He would just laugh at me also the whole school.

"Why? I said with a small whisper." Why you got to bully me. " Whatever did I do for you to hurt me, Wade?" 

I thought he would say sorry, but I was wrong. "Oh, don't be a crybaby he said." Our classmates laughed when he told me that.” I am being a crybaby.  "Oh, Virgin Cherry he shook his head saying that awful nickname he gave me." I hate that nickname with passion

 He a jerk face.  But handsome jerk face. Yes, so I am a virgin, but still. He doesn't have to tell the whole world. It is my business no one else's. It's my life she thought. Stop saying that stupid nickname Wade she thought.  With tears in my eyes. I am grabbing his arm to put my book down, so I can get it. 

"Oh no... Not too fast now.! I will give you your book back. I looked at him." Okay, what the catch I thought. Then he had a look on his face like he had an idea. This is not good Cherry, I said to myself.  "Come and follow me to the football stadium".

 I will give your precious book back. “He said." with a tease in his voice". He cannot be serious! I thought.  He must be kidding me. "Oh, come on Virgin Cherry " I won't bite, well if you want me to. He chuckled. " 

   Wade, he smirked. Then he said.

" You're a big crybaby anyway you won't follow me." He walked away Whistled a tune I know. Freshmen by the verve. (Author point of view) That was my favorite song in high school). This is nuts I should not follow him. I should have listened to my gut. Stupid me, so followed. 

I walked around the corner saw the big football anthems. I gasp, saw Wade smoking a cigarette with his foot up against the school's wall. He blew out smoke staring at me.  with a smirk on his face.

" Okay, I'm here." What do you want? I asked him scared and mumbled with a small voice.

"Oh, I want to have a little chat and I wanted to try something."

"Okay.... but why here Wade.

"Why did you want me to follow you?"

 Wade just stared at me not saying anything." After about five minutes he gave me a crooked smile while blowing smoke out of the his cigarettes'. I gasps when he suddenly jumped off the wall and grab me around my waist and threw me against the wall and then he lean in my face with his body against me he had his face near mine. I can feel his hot breath it's smells good like minty even though he was smoking. 

I was staring into his eyes asking him to let me go. But what I seen was he didn't want to. Then I see a weird look in his eyes when I look closely I see his eyes turned dark. I was frighten of Wade Jefferson for the first time, because I don't know this boy anymore.

"What? Are you doing Wade?"

Please let-me go"  I said with frighten voice.

I need to try to get out away from him and run.  I have tears streaming down my face because he has his hands around my waist and his body on my mine against the wall.

I flinch and try to take off when Wade pulled up my hands over my head.

 No, Ouch," 

Let me go" I yelled out trying to get out of his tight grip.

 How, can I. Wade he is just too big and strong. How can a little person like me, get him off me. When I thinking about how I am going to get out of this. That when I stop and looked.

Wade started moving closer to my face. I felt his breath on my lips. He that close. If I just move up closer we be kissing.

That exactly, what he wants. That when I started shake, and when whispered on my lips.

" Mmm, my virgin Cherry" then he kissed me.
