The Last of the Shifters

Lucious POV: My Sleeping Beauty

She curled up into me and slept peacefully until an annoying buzzing sound somewhat like a bee began. She rolled over and grabbed a small object, light came off it before she slid her finger across the bottom of it and groggily answered, “Hello?” thankfully I could hear the whole conversation.  

“Where are you?! What’s going on?! Why can’t you come back?!” the person on the other end shouted with urgency. “Are you pregnant?! Did you finally lose your virginity and Gran kicked you out?!” The questions kept coming but the last one piqued my interest; she has never had s*x? 

“Calm down, Slow down. I have answers but you woke me up out of a dead sleep. No, I am not pregnant, and I didn’t lose my virginity either for that matter.” She sighed. “Although I wish it were that simple. I can’t come back because of my genetics. I will be shipped off once the counsel finds out about me. This way was easier.” She started to explain. 

“YOUR GENETICS???” The person on the other end shouted before whispering to where I barely could hear her. “Wait, you have shifter genes? What kind?” With a heavy sigh, my beauty spoke again, “Kitsune and Lycan, that’s why I wasn’t detected all these years.”  

My mouth dropped, thankfully, she was facing away and didn’t remember I was there. She just told whoever that was the answer to the question I was asking all night, an answer she refused to give me out of fear. “There are no Kitsune left though.” Lucious decided to inform me after making sure her wolf would not hear. My attention snapped back to her when she started speaking again. 

“Gran said that Kitsune like us could hide their true identity easily and mask their DNA so it would appear human and before you ask, yes, gran is also Kitsune but she is pureblooded.” She sighed. “I guess when my mother got pregnant with me, she also found a lycanthrope to have s*x with which is why I'm not more watered down. Gran didn’t say that I was human, at all. I look it though.”  

“I loved the history lessons on Kitsune, I can’t believe that my best friend is a Kitsune hybrid.” her friend chuckled. 

“It’s not a hybrid thing I don’t think, I don’t know she didn’t really explain it all that well to me before she left me in the cabin.” She sighed. “She was supposed to come back before my shift, but she’s a little late.” 

“What do you mean? Wait you already shifted?!” Her friend squealed. 

“Yes, I did, this really handsome guy showed up at my cabin, well at first, he was a wolf, but his human form is almost as if he were sculpted by a Greek god. His wolf was huge, and beautiful too.” She sighed, “I was so mean to him, I feel so bad. I told him to get out. Do you remember how in history class they taught us about how when shifters find their mates, and they touch, spark literally fly through their body? Well, it’s true I think, at least my wolf says he is my mate.” She signed again. 

Lucious couldn’t control himself so acting as if we were sleeping, I allowed him to roll into her slightly making her jump. 

“OH s**t!” she gasped. “Ilea.... Ilea, He is still in my cabin. In my bed!” She whispers screamed. “What the hell do I do? Do you think he heard me?”  

I could hear Ilea laugh, “Girl get off the phone with me, lose your virginity finally.” 

“Wait...NO!” She shouted but I heard the other line beep as if her friend hung up.
