At those words, Cassian's usual composure evaporated in a heartbeat. "What the hell?!" he barked, his voice sharp with disbelief. He bolted upright, striding forward as the bodyguard hurriedly shoved a tablet into his hands. "Look!" There, glaring back at him from the screen, was Juliette, unmistakable and hauntingly clear. Cassian's eyes narrowed to slits, his breath hitching as if the air had been sucked from the room. It was a clip from the aftermath of their explosive argument. Juliette was caught on camera, darting into a shadowy corner, her silhouette unmistakable. "Static—" The screen flickered and then plunged into darkness. Cassian's head snapped up. "What happened next?" he demanded. The bodyguard's silence was deafening as he shook his head. "The footage was sabotaged.
