The housekeeper jolted as if snapping out of a daze and immediately took off running after her.

By the time the housekeeper returned, panting heavily, Grace immediately stepped forward, her face tense with urgency. “Well? Did you stop her?”
The housekeeper looked close to tears. “I couldn’t catch up! Miss Aldridge is already on the rooftop!”
