Damon drove in silence, his fingers gripping the steering wheel tightly. The city lights faded into the distance as he took the winding road that led to the one place he hadn’t been in weeks—home. For most, home was a simple concept. A house. A family. A place of comfort. But for Damon, home was the dense stretch of land hidden beyond the city’s edge, where the trees grew thick and tall, where the scent of damp earth and pine filled the air. It was where his pack lived. He exhaled slowly, trying to shake off the tension still coiling in his chest.
