CHAPTER 17: Harker –––––––– Harker groaned as he rolled over, the baby’s whimpers cutting through his sleep like a frigging siren of doom. Doom for any rest. He winced as he forced his eyes open. It felt like they were full of sand. He hadn’t gotten much sleep in the hospital and tonight had been worse. The baby had been up most of the night which meant so had they. Irene’s fussing was starting to boil over into a squall. He crawled out of bed, gently lifting the baby from the crib. “What?
