The morning after the New Year's celebration, Amber Chase received an unexpected call from Dominic Blackwood. The news surprised her, though she maintained her composure.
"Ethan and Melissa's return to the Blackwood Pack House has been postponed by a day," Dominic explained, his deep voice resonating through the phone. "The Wolf Moon Festival and my father's health concerns have caused some adjustments to our schedule."
Amber twirled a strand of her long black hair, considering this information. "I'm not surprised. The marking ceremony is significant, and with the festival so close, it makes sense to delay their return."
