Felix drove smoothly through the rain-slicked streets of Silvercrest City, occasionally glancing at me in the rearview mirror. The silence between us was comfortable, not awkward.
"Miss Chase, may I ask why you're not living at the Chase Pack house?" Felix finally asked, his tone curious but respectful.
I looked up, surprised by the question. "I moved out two months after returning to Silvercrest from overseas."
