CHAPTER 65

1092 Words
I am at back at the shoreline of San Ildefonso and the first thing I tried looking for was the people from my parent's wedding. Yet, I don't see anyone at all. I am just so eager to find out what happened to the rest of them, that's why I tried to move my body to rise. But suddenly, my body forced me to pinned back on the damped sand behind me. There came an unendurable pain inside my chest that even restricts air from coming inside my nose. I can't move and I can't even breathe normally. It's scary as this moment makes me sensed that my life is about to end. Is this really the end for me? I've been thinking of the near-death experience I had and this isn't anything new, yet why am I still scared? Is it because I fear death? I can't just die like this. I can't possibly die from my past life when I have been living safely in the present time. And with that hope, I tried moving at least my fingers to pinch my skin just in case this could help me wake up to my reality but even that is too hard for me to do. I felt some sores across my body. It was like my body is slowly becoming numb because of the lack of air inside my body that had been caused by an excruciating pain in my chest. I don't wish to die. 'Somebody...Please...help me. Florante, help me. I want to go back. I don't want to be here anymore.' The only thing that my body is capable of right now is to close my eyes and cry. It was endless. I ended up just crying and wailing from my situation. I'm so scared that death is now after me. I've been into several near-death experiences that actually making my slow parting to meet death appeared like an outlandish scene to witness, and the worst is that I could no longer escape from it. What left for me now is to anticipate what’s next to this after I die? Or is there even a next after this? Will I eventually return to my original time after this? My eyes won't stop from yielding so many tears and as so as my sobbing, it continued for a long while until I notice my head moving upwards. It was as if I’m being lifted. And just as I was about to open my eyes, I saw a silhouette of a man before me that was so swift to steal away my lips. I wish to struggle and slap him for his imprudence but I was also too weak to move. Dying and being harassed on the verge of my death is such a horror to even experience now. His warm greedy lips pressed against mine and I instantly felt a surge of essence traveling from my tongue across my throat. It was magical. It’s like the essence soothed my whole body with an immense amount of energy. The feeling woke up my organs from complete failure. My breathing became normal and the sores across my body were gone. It was like, I am completely healed. He withdraws from me and I was so disappointed that his face is too blurry for me to recognize. Maybe because I haven’t recovered from the drowsiness despite the enchantment of essence this man has given me. I tried moving but the man restraint me, keeping me immobilized after placing me down on the bed of wet sand once more. He rose to pick up a spear weapon lying on the ground and took his few step away from me. I was surprised that his sudden movement was unimaginable. After he placed his palm on his chest, I stirred up hearing him bellowed in a low groaning pain. Just what is he doing right now? At this moment, I am anxiously trying to fight over my visions while witnessing him pulls out an immense spherical light from his chest that could’ve been the cause why he is shrieking from that pain. I can sense it was painful, but somehow this unidentified man tried to confide it as much as he can by only creating a low bellowing cry. I wanted him to stop what is he doing, to discontinue whatever is he trying to get from his chest that gives him such agony and discomfort, but before I could even do so, he has already stopped. And after successfully pulling out a glistening spherical crystal that looks like a pearl from his chest, he placed it below the ground and used the spear to cut it in half. A crack of lightning bolt sprouts out in between the pearl that blinded me even more because of the immense light that the pearl is immitting. With all the light glowing around the shore, I assume I could finally see his face. But as I was trying to see who was the man who did that for me, I was so astounded that a blinding light came between us preventing me to see the face of this man. He went closer to me and forced me to swallow the other half after he gobbled the other. Our bodies glowed enough that it is still too radiating, making it too complicated to see. What’s more is the fact that after he let me swallow the other half of the pearl, I feel as though my tongue is going to melt because of the burning pressure it creates. I cried as the pain he was feeling a while ago was shared with me by forcing me to eat the other half. I thought I was going to perish from this, but the man soothed my pain by ceasing my mouth once more and relieving me with the essence his mouth is transferring into mine. This is disgusting yet it soothes my burning throat. The massive light that our bodies are slowly subsiding giving me the hope to finally see the face of my savior. Until the light subsides slowly, revealing a face I've hope to come here and save me. "What took you so long to arrive, Florante?" I asked him as I circled my arms around his body to express my earnest yearning to see him. His face was blank when I return to see his face once more. His brows suddenly met half-way as he suddenly asked me, "How did you know who I am?" ***
