It became obvious that she did not know so much about her people and had limited knowledge about the wolf pack that she was trying to help, because when she returned to them after the news of her parents' death, she saw the suffering and the oppressions, a great need for a savior in a world where her witchcraft meant little or nothing to them. The pack basically saw her witchcraft as a form of entertainment to them because it was only limited, as at the moment, to their environment and could not command them or inflict pain on them, despite her using it against the vampires on one occasion, which did work out so well.
