Chapter four

Damon POV’s

“You morons! How could you let a weak little girl outsmart you huh!” I yelled angrily and they immediately went on their knees.

“She fell into the woods and we couldn’t go in to find her,” Hector said and I gave him a slap which sent him flying to the floor.

“Nonsense! Find her!” I yelled, punching the wall.

Had it been I knew she wanted to escape this badly, I wouldn’t have fallen for her lame tricks.

I closed my eyes a little bit and I smiled, she was smart but I’m way too smart for her. “You told me earlier you only saw a piece of her clothing when you got there right?” I asked, hoping they wouldn’t say otherwise.

“Yes, I even took the piece,” Hector replied and I smiled, he’d just managed to vindicate himself.

He gave me the piece and I sniffed it, and I smirked. “Get ready y’all, we’re leaving ,” I said and I walked out, while they rushed to prepare the car.

Soon after, I walked to the parking lot, got into Hw car and they drove off, while I sniffed the scent on her clothing, using it to track her and also giving directions. She was my mate so it’d be easier.

Over an hour later, we were still driving, we’ve crossed different buildings and now we’re actually going into the woods. I started wondering if this was a trap to lure us in, but I wasn’t afraid of anyone and I was ready for them.

Then it occurred to me, what if she was kidnapped by someone? I hurriedly shook my head, someone of her type wouldn’t be kidnapped that easily.

As I sat in the car, I thought of ways to punish her, if I happened to find her. She’d have to explain the meaning of what she did, she was the first one to ever look down on me.

Suddenly, the scent stopped in the middle of nowhere, we came out of the car and we started looking around.

“Alpha, I think I’ve just seen a building over there,” Hector said and I turned to his direction and I saw a very huge building covered with trees and grasses.

I sniff and this was where her scent stopped, not wanting to waste any more time with my thoughts, I signaled to my men and we headed towards the building.

We approached the building, but there was no obvious way to enter it. There was no door, no windows. The building was just solid, covered with trees as I said earlier.

“How do we go in, Alpha?” Hector asked and I sighed in desperation. I’ve left my pack to look for my mate, I wouldn’t just give up now.

I ran my hands on the building, but there was no possible way of entrance.

“We do it the odd way,” I said and I sprouted my claws out and I jumped on top of the building, crawling and climbing to the top.

Hector and the rest saw me, and they jumped on the building, and we all got to the roof, and we saw an entrance in, we didn’t hesitate to jump in.

“Finally,” I mumbled and I adjusted my clothes and we continued walking, but I noticed her scent was coming out from a particular door close to us.

“This way,” I said and as we got there, I smashed the door with my legs and we walked in.

“Holly Molly!” Someone yelled abruptly. I turned around only to see her sitting on the bed.

“What are you doing here!” She half yelled when she saw me and I smirked.

“Found you!”

“You have to leave, my Dad would kill y’all if he finds you here,” She said and I furrowed my brows.

“You mean you were kidnapped by your Dad?” I asked and she shook her head. “Just leave you won’t understand,” She replied but I immediately grabbed her hands and I pulled her along with me.

“Just leave me alone, save yourself,” She said and that was more like an insult to me. Her Dad should be scared of me, not the other way round.

“If you really like to stay in this Godforsaken place, I’d bring you back here as soon as I’m done with you. But for now, you’re coming with me,” I replied and I pulled her away while she struggled.

“Shyla!” Someone suddenly yelled, running to us.

“Aunt Succy!” She yelled back and she quickly rushed to hug her.

“Who are they? Why are they taking you,” The woman asked, and as I turned to see her, my heart stopped. There she was standing, a sinister woman I haven’t seen in years.

I blinked, hoping I wasn’t hallucinating, but as she saw me, she moved backwards in fright until she fell to the floor.

“Shyla, tell him to leave. Get away from me!” She yelled, and tears trickled down my cheeks, but I immediately wiped it off, hoping no one saw how vulnerable I was.

“You’re going to pay!” I yelled and I rushed to her, I pushed Shyla aside, and I grabbed the woman’s neck. Squeezing tight. The woman struggled, gasping for air, while Shyla tried to make me let go. But my grip was unbreakable.

“You smiled while doing this to her right?” I asked and I continued strangling her.

“I I’m sorry,” She pleaded, but I wasn’t willing to listen to anything she has to say, she need to pay for the part she played in harming my family.

“What’s going on here? Let her go! I’ll come with you, please leave her alone,” Shyla pleaded, already in tears, but her pleading was nothing compared to that of my mum.

“I’m sorry little mate, this isn’t something you should involve yourself in,” I replied and there came a crack. I snapped her neck and she dropped dead on the floor.

“Noooo!” Shyla yelled and she rushed to her.

“Aunt Succy, wake up! Please don’t die on me,” She pleaded while I stood and watched, a glint of satisfaction in my eyes. At least I caught one.

“You monster! How dare you do this to her? I’m going to kill you!” She yelled and she rushed towards me, but before she could get to me, Hector grabbed her and she hit his chest, asking him to let her go.

“Let’s go,” I said and Hector immediately carried her on his shoulders, even when she yelled and laid curses on me, I still didn’t feel guilty about it.

“Don’t worry Aunt Succy. I’m going to kill him for you. I promise!” She yelled and she suddenly stopped struggling.
