When I woke up I was in my bed. Was that just a terrible dream? I rolled over to look for my phone.

Nope. Definitely wasn't a dream. I Face palm myself. Left the damn thing at school when I bailed.

Then panick set in. Eric! I looked around my room quickly he was nowhere in sight. I let out a sigh of relief. Though can't help but feel disappointed.

A small smile forms "sleep sweetheart". His voice... and I? I just passed out in his arms. I can feel the heat rise to my face. I should go apologize to him.

I start to move around I noticed it's dark outside. I at least didn't sleep through the whole day. When I got to the kitchen I noticed there was a note on the counter.

I've informed your Aunt of the exhaustion you showed at school. Said you were falling asleep in class. Told her you'd be taking a sick day from work. Enjoy your night. Stay warm and safe please.

I was dumbfounded but also greatful. He didn't say anything about the forest? It's not uncommon for my Aunt to have me sent home for being sick but greatful she isn't able to find out why. I still haven't had a chance to figure out whatever Mr. Creep was talking about.

I take the note and fold it in my pocket. I giggled sweetheart. I'm not one for nicknames but from his mouth that sounds amazing.

I decided to make a bowl of popcorn, pour glass of soda and go to the living room to watch some movies. I ended up watching a couple horror films.

There was a girl running through the woods screaming while being chased by weird stalker that lives there.

BAM!!

my front door flies open and I jump off the couch sending my bowl of popcorn across the floor. When I look back at the door I see my Aunt starring at me with a devilish grin.

"You've always get scared easily!" she starts laughing.

"Why do you do that?" I grabbed my chest to try slow my heart beat. "I swear your going to scare me to death one of these times Aunt Syl!"

She's still laughing and waving me off. "Your the closest thing I have to bug right now. Hunter is off doing pack training in other lands. I'll grab the broom."

I start to pick up my bowl I hear a knock at the door. I look at Aunt syl. she just shrugged waved me to get it.

When I opened the door I noticed Eric was standing there his eyes were scanning the house.

"um Hi Eric." I say slowly. Why is he here?

He quickly looks back to me " I heard a bang and a scream. I thought it never hurts to check. Since I brought you home sick." He then gave me a more questioning look. "Speaking of which why aren't you in bed resting?"

What's his deal? Yeah protect all pack members but just had rough day I'm fine now. "I get sick alot. I know when I'm feeling better." I sternly state while crossing my arms.

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.

"okay popcorn is cleaned up miss scaredy pants...oh Alpha Eric. What brings you by?" my Aunt stood behind me.

"oh I was just walking by happened to here the commotion. I was just checking everything was alright." he replied casually to her.

"haha! That my dear is miss Nikita being scared!" I swear feel my face go as red as a tomato.

"Well hopefully nothing bad then? I can't see no one's harmed."

"oh no! I just pop up sometimes when I know she's watching horror films. She's a fighter for others but when comes to herself she's just a puppy." she gives my shoulders a squeeze. "on that note I'll see you in the morning. please wake me if you need something." she gives my cheek a quick kiss then walks up stairs.

I turn back to Eric he's still standing there. "Is there anything else?" I felt weird asking this.

"uh..no. I'll see you around." He go's to turn around and walk away.

Before he gets down the steps to my house I yell "wait!" I walk to top of the stairs. "Thankyou. For you know covering me, ye know the woods, and also bringing me home." I stare at my down toward my feet.

"You don't need to thank me. I'll always be there." With that he continues to walk away.

I go back inside and turn off the TV. No sense in watching the rest of the movie now.

I head to bed. I'm thinking about next few days. Hoping that time will just speed up and go quickly. 1 Week to go after tomorrow. 1 Week to officially start my life how I want.
