Two days ago I escaped. Two days ago, I arrived in the Philippines. Starting a new life with no one to hold on to and adjusting to a new environment is a struggle. I knew no one here. It would have been fine if I spoke their language, but I didn't.
Luckily, people here are kind enough to adjust on behalf of my place. The very reason why I thrive. Perhaps, soon enough, I will be able to learn their language and it won't be a burden for them to talk to me.
