Some small talk was shared over the rest of dinner, but it was terse. Mama wasn't going to change her mind or see the issue any other way, and she was frankly disturbed by the thought of her son with a woman outside his own race. She didn't want to think of it. So they talked about the food and about the weather. Things got heated again when Mama Barker raised the issue of "those gays out in San Francisco" and Marcus defended their s****l preferences.
