Scene II: Clarity

229 Words
Why am I so nervous? Relax. Breathe in... breathe out... "You got this. It's not so scurry." "Trust me, the worse she can say is no." What are you talking about? "You're not nervous about an actual girl." What? No. I'm nervous about recording these scenes. If a girl wants to talk to me, let her. I'm not thinking about no relationship. It's a one-time thing—she probably just needs help or something. "...Well, I do feel stupid." Okay. I'm gonna do it. Actually press record. Film this calisthenics noir—where I think I'm a vigilante, listening to the news on radio like it's calling me to something bigger. "Wait... hol' up, you're actually gonna do it." "Like every DC series where the vigilante has those scenes of transformation/growth." Yeah, man like those. I'll see you tonight for scene 1. — As the clock strikes 22:00. "You ready?" "Oh—plus, you know talking too yourself is the first sign of mental illness, right." Mental who? I don't know who that is. "Never mind." Alright stop talking. Focus on the camera angles. Camera up high on the shelf-pointing down. 20 press-ups. Camera at the doorway-like someone's watching. 15 squats. Camera in front. 10 sit-ups. "Dang... okay, you actually recorded everything." Yeah. Recording's done. But I still got two more sets left... and I'm calling it a night.
