The scouts General Lark had sent out reported that the raiders' camp that they had spotted a few leagues away was gone. It seemed to have been abandoned overnight, they said, which probably meant that his army had done its fighting in the castle last night. Several things from the camp had been brought over, and he had them looked at by his lieutenants.
There was nothing of note, save for a few costumes that would be taken back to Starfall as evidence, in case anyone back home wondered how a masquerade ball had turned into a battlefield.
