Nishika’s POV
“Nishant is the one who sent the message to everyone. Actually, he had forgotten it is Neha’s birthday. So, to make it up to her, he planned a surprise party. That is where I am going right now” informs Rohan to me.
I was numb for a second there. What hurt the most is that Nishant lied to me. I felt betrayed by him. Why would he keep it away from me?
“Hey where are you lost?” asks Rohan. I come out of my thinking and tried to smile at him.
“Nowhere, I am just tried.” I let him know. Even though I tried to smile, it come out as grimace.
“You know this the first time that Nishant forgot Neha’s birthday, given their history” he says.
“Oh, but at least he remembered before the day got over” I don’t know why I said that. It was like I was defending him even though he lied to
