Nishant’s POV
“What is going on?” I asked Abhay once he comes to me.
Nishika was waiting near the entrance.
“Nothing” replies Abhay in a casual tone.
“It does not look like nothing to me” I snap at him.
He raised his eyebrows at me but did not say anything. His silence made me angrier. He is my best friend. He knows what is going through me without me having to say it to him.
“Don’t play games with me Abhay. I know what you are trying to do” I added through gritted teeth.
“I am not playing any kind of games. It is you who is playing games with Nishika. She is innocent. Leave her alone” he warns me, his eyes flashing angrily.
“Like I said before, you will have to cross me to reach her. No harm will come to her. I will protect her” he says to me.
