Lynn's POV
I stare at Logan, surprise flickering through me. He wants to support the wedding plan?
"Logan, I don't want to drag you into this mess." My fingers tighten around my coffee cup.
"It stopped being just your problem when he tried to kill you." Logan's voice is firm. "I live next door. If something happens to you, I'd never forgive myself."
The protective edge in his words makes something warm unfurl in my chest.
"You barely know me."
"I know enough." Logan's eyes hold mine. "I know you're brilliant and strong and deserve better. And I know I want to help you make them pay."
Heat floods my face. If I cancel the engagement Charles, I'll be single again. And if I'm single...
