Chapter Ten
Even with the crisper air tinged with the enticing smell of a fireplace, I was nervous when I walked to work the next morning. Chad never called as he said he would, thus I was unsure what to expect. I was early again in hopes of avoiding too many eyes if I was called into Chad's office over the swirling scandal I found myself in the middle of... or the worst scenario of losing my job.
I reached my office to find the door slightly open. I was positive I had closed up and locked it yesterday when I vacated from the bomb threat.
