By evening time I had returned to the cabin. Two maids came into the room and poured hot and cold water into the rectangular looking canoe. Before they left I called one of them, the nicest looking one. “What is the water for please?” I asked. “It’s for your bath your majesty.” She said. “We mixed the water for you in the tub,” Then it dawned on me. It was where I was going to bath and it was called a tub? In India we didn’t have that. We usually had places where we had our baths. Now that I thought of it, it actually looked similar. I thanked the maids and when they left I took off my clothes and lay down inside the tub. It was so soothing. I wasn’t able to have the luxury of enjoying my bath because I didn’t want Edward coming in. I dried myself and looked for a Sari to wear. Mama
