Chapter 11

I picked my phone and dialed Sonia's number. It got picked after two (2) rings and I spoke. "Hey Sonia what's up"

"Hi Cole I'm good. So what could have prompted you to call me today after a long time of silence and on this wonderful evening". I could hear her blushing over the phone. Was she that into me. I thought before I spoke again

"Um I just wanted to ask if you want to hangout tonight by 8:00 PM at Shawn's fast food which is about two hours from here. I'll be there to pick you up, send your address and I'll be there in a minute. The bill is on me."

She said yes and I hung up,as I dropped my phone I took out my credit card and went to a grocery store to get a few groceries. I was still in the shop picking the items I need,when I was done picking what I needed I paid with my credit card. I took my polythene bag containing the things I bought and was walking back to my apartment when I got a message from my mom asking how I was and how my job was going. That message only made me remember that I had just lost my job.

I replied to her message giving her a short but detailed explanation of how I got fired from my workplace. She was of course worried but I told her to calm down and that I was going to get a new job in a few weeks. I followed a shortcut to my apartment and the shortcut passed through a creepy and lonely alley, I still typed while walking through the alley when three (3) men walked out from the darkness and up to me. One of them was muscular and the other two (2) were slim.

The muscular one held out a knife and asked me to give him my phone and empty my wallets to him while the other two (2) were at my back. I looked and knew that I was surrounded but I wasn't scared, I immediately disarmed the first man and gave him a heavy blow to his ribs and when the other two attacked,I held one and kicked him in the lower abdomen. The last guy brought out a knife and was about to stab me but I quickly held his hand , twisted it which made the knife fall from his hand then I hit his head on my knee, lifted him off the ground and dropped him on the two men in the ground.

After dealing with them I picked my phone that had fallen on the ground and walked out of the scene unruffled. When I got home, I took my bath and started looking for a cloth to put on. I scanned through my wardrobe and then I stumbled upon one of my classy and very expensive Tuxedo. It was provided to me by the military when I was going for a special operation because I needed to fit into the crowd to gather the information I needed. I put on the three (3) piece suit and combed my hair nicely. I had already called an Uber. When it arrived I got into the car and drove off. In the car I called Sonia and she sent me her address and I drove there. She looked so beautiful and for a moment I stood looking at her with my mouth agape.

We walked together and entered the car and then the driver drove off with Sonia and I inside.
