Chapter 6

I was in the most beautiful place I had ever been to in my life it was Dermy Hotels and Plazas a place .I had only heard of from my extremely wealthy colleagues back then when I was a soldier. I had never been there because I came from a middle class family and this place was for only very wealthy and influential people I gazed around in awe.

Sonia seemed to notice my surprise and asked me if I had been here before and I replied no. She then said I should brace myself because I had just seen the beginning.

We both walked into the VIP lounge which was more beautiful than the other one. At the VIP lounge was a large swimming pool and on another end was a bar/buffet there was so much food in there and the people could serve themselves if they wanted to. There were also round golden tables and chairs with same color. The place was a beautiful place to behold. Sonia walked towards a table I quickly pulled a chair for out for her as a gentleman would do. We stayed there chatting till dark

I felt weird being there I wore casual clothes while most of the people there were on corporate attires. Sonia noticed it and apologized to me for not telling me where we were going.. I replied "You are quite a mind reader".

She also said this was where most of her business meetings were held. Then she asked a question that made me feel that she had been keeping tabs on me. She asked "Were you ever in the armed forces"

Yes I was. But how did you know. I asked my alertness rising

Let's just say I know someone who knows someone. She replied and sipped her drink

Are you investigating me. I asked with raised eyebrows

Yes I am. She said with a sigh. I'm sorry but you looked too good to be left alone like that and too muscular so I had to find out about you before I have any hopes

Are you into me. I asked partially smiling

Yes Cole I am really into you. She replied looking intently at me

I was short of words,I know it's mostly the men that propose but now she was proposing. I felt bad turning her down but I did since I didn't like her. She wasn't so sad about it we continued being friends and chatting until about 2 AM when I told her I had to go home since the next day was a workday

She dropped me off and went home,I slept before my head hit the pillow.
