Esmeralda's pov
“Gideon will never stop admiring women, that's his weakness I guess,and could you believe he hasn't found his mate yet " I tried to update Anna
“ Oh really , poor thing , must really be hard for him you know " , we both let out a laugh,
Just then I received a signal from my brother requesting to see his mate , I had to tell Anna .
“ Anna , don't take it too personal but my brother had requested to see you " I told her, her expression changed but I waited for her response,
“ He asked to see me ? " she asked ,
“ Yes, Anna"
“ what for ? " she asked with folded arms
“ He didn't say " I replied “ but I'm pretty sure he wanted to see how you are doing "
“ And he didn't know the way to my room ? "she asked with a little raised voice
“ Keep it down, Anna , Are you seeing him or not " I asked sternly ,
“ No "
I really understand it is very hard for her , firstly she's been abused, secondly my brother had literally brought her here without her true consent and thirdly he is playing hard.
I quickly mind linked him to inform him of her refusal and he went mad, I had to quickly take Anna past his office so he won't meet us.
Anna's pov
Imagine the guts the Alpha has to order me to see him , I may have been a timid girl back there at my former pack but he has to show me a little respect for being his mate.
Esmeralda took me past his office and his fresh woody scent hit me, I wanted to go in there so badly and possibly hug him and kiss his sexy lips as Ava was visibly so excited begging me to go see him.
“ Can we just see our mate, Anna" Ava begged
“ No , Ava. I'm sorry for refusing your request but if he must have our attention then he must work for it " I replied her
Slowly she turned her back on me and I felt so bad
“ Esmeralda, I think I've changed my mind, Ava is crazy about his wolf and wants to see him badly , so let me grant her her request "
Esmeralda let out a smile and we turned back. Just as we were about to knock on the door having “ Alpha Pelosi's office " on it the door opened , it was Fenrir , I wondered if he came to get me or going out .
Our eyes met and the force of attraction became stronger, I had to typically hold myself from jumping into his arms . I'm not sure how long we took looking into each other's eyes but I'm sure it was a lot of time.
Esmeralda cleared her throat “ I will leave you two alone, be sure to inform me when you two are done talking so I can take her to see mom" with that she swiftly turned and went down the stairs without waiting for a reply .
“ Come in, Anna " Fenrir invited me into his office,
“ Thank you " I murmured as I walked past him
He shut the door behind us and went to seat down on a couch inside his office , “ Have a seat " he gestured to the empty space and I obeyed,
Honestly I've never been in love before , yes I had a crush when I was fifteen to a guy who never looked my way and I let it die down . So this attraction of a thing was entirely new to me and I can't even help my heart beat which kept fluttering .
But I have to resist this man in front of me so he would not see me as a cheap girl.
“ How are you doing , Anna ” , he asked me
His voice was deep and sexy . I watched his Adam's apple move up and down as he spoke , his thick beards were well trimmed like he had it freshly cut , the blue shirt he wore left three buttons open and I could see his chest, it was a little bit hairy and that alone turns me on .
“ Hello ? "
My face flushed with embarrassment as I realized I haven't answered him ,
“ uhm , I'm fine " this time I looked away
surprisingly he turned my face gently to his side
“ You don't have to look away , Anna , you're my mate " he spoke softly
This man was nothing near to the awful stories I've heard about him
“ your mate? And you couldn't come to know how I was last night and even this morning " I retorted
“ well I was tired so I sent my sister " he explained
“ Tired ? well thank you for sending your sister " I rolled my eyes and looked away , this time visibly angry
“ Can I get you anything? "
“ Really ? No apology ? oh please keep your ‘whatever' to yourself " I quickly stood up , left his office and went the way I saw Esmeralda .
A part of me longed to stay with him but he must work for my affection.
