Sage had spent the last few days trying to ignore Mia, it was easy enough when he had the bar to go to and so he would often leave her at the house to get away. She had been nice to him, constantly making sure he had food to eat, and she never brought up the way he had started to treat her. He knew that it wasn’t the ideal situation and he also knew that she couldn’t be happy with it but to Sage, there was nothing else he could do. He needed to separate himself even if that meant hurting her feelings which he knew he did. It was just something he thought would be for better for them both. They were there for business, that was it. He was extremely irritated with Fiona for putting him in this position so he had to call her to let her know how he felt about it.
