"What is it?" I said coldly as I opened the door for Monsor.
"Sir, someone is looking for you outside. The one who was with you once before."
My so-called fiancée who betrayed me. I just told him not to let anyone in for now.
"Who is it?" Clara asked.
"A useless woman."
She laughed and shook her head.
"Take care of Aira for a while, okay? I’ll head inside first. And I’ll be the one to talk to our instructors later," she said.
I looked closely at Aira, who was sleeping soundly. She is beautiful. The only reason I’ve been keeping my distance is because of Mr. Ethan Gomez’s anger.
The room was quiet as I sorted through the pile of papers on my desk and signed the documents needed for the ROTC students’ scholarships. I stopped when I heard Aira let out a soft groan—sign that she was waking up.
"Aira, how are you feeling?" I asked gently. She looked at me in confusion, then glanced around the whole room.
"Mathew," she whispered, head bowed as if she had done something wrong. How cute.
She sniffled. She was crying. "Hey, what’s wrong?"
I lifted her face and wiped the small tears rolling down her flushed cheeks.
"I’m sorry. You got beaten up because of me—"
"Shhh… It’s alright. I’m fine, see?" I told her. "Besides, this was about your life."
"But you were the one who saved me that night," she said. I let out a small laugh.
I tapped her nose—something she hates the most—and she frowned at me.
"I did save you that night, yes. But your Godfather Ethan knows nothing about that. That’s probably why he chose to believe the person who has served him for years instead."
She didn’t say anything. When I looked at her, her brows were drawn together, her eyes filled with anger.
"Aira?"
"I hate him," she blurted out.
It stung a little—I know, and she has told me before, how much she looks up to Mr. Ethan Gomez. But you can’t blame me. I love her so much.
"Let’s change the subject," I said, and her gaze turned to mine. Her lips parted slightly. "Why did you order food with green peas?"
"I didn’t notice there were green peas! And it’s your fault anyway!" she said.
"Why is it my fault?"
"Why wouldn’t you let me in earlier? They said you didn’t want to be disturbed, so I thought you were mad at me."
Damn. I had forgotten all about that.
"I’m sorry."
"Don’t do that again, okay?"
I nodded. My eyes stayed locked on hers, until my lips met hers. We kissed deeply, exploring each other’s mouths.
"Mhm~" she moaned as my hands settled on her chest. I missed her body, I missed everything about her.
She wrapped both arms around my shoulders, pulling me closer.
One of my hands moved down to her pants. I unbuttoned them, slipped my hand inside, not minding the underwear in the way.
I touched her intimately, and she let out a loud, sexy moan. We kept kissing while her other hand undid my pants, reaching for me.
A few minutes later, she wrapped her hand around me and began stroking. Just her touch was enough to make me fully hard.
She pulled me on top of her as she lay back on the bed. Our tongues tangled, our kisses deep and hungry.
I pulled my fingers away, then took off her shirt and bra. Her n*****s were hard and flushed.
I licked one while I worked her pants and underwear down. She helped me pull them off, so it didn’t take long. She lay bare before me, warm and waiting.
I took off my own shirt and pants too. We were both naked now.
I spread her legs, looking at her glistening warmth.
I leaned in, tasting her like ice cream—slow strokes up and down her folds. I stiffened my tongue and pushed it inside her.
Her sexy moans drove me wild, and I kept sucking and licking. I pulled back to tease her sensitive spot, making her cry out louder.
I was burning with need, aching to be inside her.
I kissed my way back up her body until my lips met hers. I was so hard I couldn’t wait any longer. I pushed into her in one smooth motion, and Aira’s moan grew even more beautiful.
I began to move, slow and full of love. After a while, I felt her tremble around me, and she finished as I pulled out.
"Roll over," I told her. She did, still catching her breath.
I settled behind her, lifted one of her legs, and pushed back in—harder and faster this time.
"Deeper," she begged, followed by another moan.
As you wish. I pressed deeper, moving fast and rough until I felt my own release building, and pushed harder until we both finished.
"Mat… do you regret what happened between us? Even now that you know everything about my situation?" Aira asked, turning to face me, resting her head on my arm.
"No. I’m happy with how things are between us. At least this way, I know you’re mine," I said, kissing her forehead.
I waited for her to speak again, but minutes passed and she said nothing.
I smiled when I saw she had fallen asleep. I got up and pulled the blanket over her.
ETHAN POV
"Maybe we should postpone your engagement party!" Dad said suddenly. I stood up in shock. "Dad!"
"Is your engagement party more important than what’s happening with Aira?" Mom asked. I thought they understood me?
"Ma, I know about Aira’s situation. But that doesn’t mean I have to stay single forever," I said.
I won’t let this chance to have Zapphira slip away again. It’s been years since she left me.
"Fine then…" Dad’s expression went blank. "But sort out things with Aira—and that woman of yours—first," he said, then stood up and left.
Mom stayed behind, looking at me coldly. "Have you ever stopped to think about the nights you spent with Aira?"
I felt frozen in place.
"I know this is the chance you’ve been waiting for. And I’ve warned you again and again about Aira… but you didn’t listen to me."
It felt like fate had slapped me hard. I was wrong to give in to my desires, especially with her—when I was already waiting for someone else. And worse, she’s like family to me.
"What’s wrong with you?" Clyde asked as he walked in.
I kept my mouth shut. I couldn’t tell him what I’d done—something so wrong, with the daughter of our friend Samuel.
"Did you ask me here just to watch you mope?" he asked again.
"I was an i***t," I mumbled.
He shook his head and took a sip of his drink. "You really were."
I glared at him, but he just laughed.
"Dude, that’s nothing new," he said. His smile faded, his face turning serious. "Samuel… he called me last night asking about Aira."
I went still. He kept talking.
"I told him everything I know. She’s his daughter, after all. But…" He paused, looking straight at me. "It doesn’t sound like he plans to come back for her, man."
I couldn’t sit still after talking to Clyde.
I looked up at the sky. The stars shone endlessly, like hopes still waiting to be reached.
The cool wind wrapped around me. The moon lit the long path leading out of the mansion.
I snapped back to reality when I felt a hand touch my arm. It was Zapphira.
"What—"
She put a finger to my lips. With her other hand, she reached into my pants and pulled me out.
Before long, I was hard and throbbing. Zapphira knelt down. Moments later, I felt the warmth of her mouth as she took me in.
"Damn you, Zapphira… hmm, yes—just like that!"
She smirked, but didn’t stop.
She took me deeper, one hand stroking what she couldn’t fit, sending shivers of pleasure through me.
Clark excuse himself.
"I never knew you were this good!" I moaned.
I didn’t even notice she had undressed completely—I was too lost in how good it felt.
She kissed me then, sucking my tongue while still holding me. Then, for a moment—she stopped.
Next… she straddled my lap and sank down onto me. Deep, and perfect.
She began to move, riding me slowly. Her moans were the sweetest sound in the night—loud and clear.
We stayed like that for what felt like hours. I wanted more.
I lifted her up, still inside her, and turned her so she stood with her back to me. I was about to push into her again when her phone rang.
Damn it.
"Wait… I need to take this," she said.
I was so frustrated I wanted to scream.
I stepped closer to her, and froze when I heard what she said.
"Don’t worry… I’ll get the money from him somehow. Just trust me, okay?" Zapphira said.
Who was she talking to?
