My brother was never a talkative person so the conversation he was having with Booi felt weird. He kept pushing him, asking questions and firing accusations and Booi was more than happy to indulge him. He kept implicating himself and admitting to knowing this Hajun Eunsoo person and even protecting him somehow.
"You know for a brilliant detective you can be quite stupid." Felix said pissing Booi even worse. His jaws clenched and his one free hand was immediately balled into a fist.
"Do not call me stupid." He hissed.
"But you are. In the time I've been here you've admitted to helping your brother in law scam women, he has killed some of them and you protected him, so why would anyone believe he is being set up for these killings? His wife was killed and he got the life insurance payout. His mother, mother in law, two sisters in law and his other girlfriend. All of them benefited from his scams, so when he ran out of people to scam, he came back home, killed his relatives and pocketed the insurance payouts." Booi chuckled and started hitting his forehead with the gun.
"He would never do that. I know him. He would have never done that." He screamed. "I know him. He would never do that."
"Well it doesn't matter what you believe. All that matters is what the evidence points to." Felix said walking into the apartment with about twenty other officers behind him. And the commissioner as well as some woman in a red power suit.
"You son of a bitch." Booi hissed looking at Felix. Everything was unfolding in front of me like some out of body experience. Booi being handcuffed and dragged out like a common criminal. My brain automatically zoned everyone and everything out the moment Zhou and Xin Xi walked in. It felt like I was seeing the same person twice, and yet I could tell you which one of them is Zhou.
Our eyes locked and everyone seemed to dissipate into thin air. My heart was galloping like a wild horse while butterflies danced around my stomach. At that moment I could not deny the effect he had on me. It was more than just something physical. Every part of me yearned to be held by him.
"Tae!" Someone called out. I blinked a couple of times and found my brother staring down at me. "Are you Okay?" He asked. I nodded my head and stood up. He pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be. It's not your fault." He pulled back, looking me up and down to make sure I am okay.
"I know. But still, he won't bother you again. He will probably spend the next few years in a jail cell." He assured me.
"Felix, we have to go to the station." Jaekyung said.
"Okay. Get your stuff so we can go." Felix said.
"No, it's fine. I'll stay here. Or go to work. I am late already but I'll be fine." I replied. I'm not even sure what it was I would do at the station besides giving my statement.
"No, I can't leave you here. And you can't go to work, I called and told them you're sick. So you have to come with me." He insisted.
"Or we can stay with her." Xin Xi offered. I noticed Zhou giving him a side eye.
"I can't expect you to do that. I can just drive her to our parents place." Felix countered.
"And how exactly are you going to explain my presence there? Mum knows I am working tonight so how will you explain me going to their house? Are you going to tell them that your boss held hostage?" I asked. He seemed like he was thinking of an alternative plan but came up with nothing.
"Fine. They will stay with you. I will be back as soon as possible." He gave me one last hug before leaving. Things quickly got awkward. As much as I appreciated them being with me, Xin Xi scared me. He had the same dark eyes as his brothers, the dimple and everything else but there was something cold in his eyes. I'd seen him a couple of times already and the coldness was still there. With Zhou he had become warmer over time. Even though when I first met him his eyes were lifeless and cold, now there seemed to be some life in them. Xin Xi, not so much.
"Okay, i am leaving." Xin Xi said looking at his watch. He offered to stay with me and now he was leaving. Even his brother was shocked. "What? I have things to do and I am not about to watch you making heart eyes at each other. Bye." He walked out the door and everything went dead quiet.
I looked up and found Zhou staring at me.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi." I replied. The last time I had seen him he was drunk and today he seemed sober as a judge. He stared at me and for some reason I kept my eyes glued on him too. He got up and came over to me, pulled me up to my feet and wrapped his arms around my waist. I looked up at him, not sure what to do or what to say. He lowered his head and took my lips. Every part of my body melted. I arched my body, pushing myself closer to him. This felt so right.
He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. The moisture forming between my legs was hard to miss. He pinned me against the wall, running his hands on my thighs. He let go of my lips and looked at me. I pulled him back and kissed him. Need and desire taking over every bone in my body. I'd dreamt of this. Being in his arms again, being touched by him, my soul yearned for him, and now he was there. How could I let him go after that.
He pulled us away from the wall and made his way down the small passage.
"Left." I whispered into his mouth. He pushed the door open and placed me down on the bed before pulling off his tshirt. I inhale sharply seeing his scar. He had said it reminded him of me, but for me, it was a reminder that I don't know much about this man except how badly i wanted him. Maybe I am naive.
I tossed my thoughts aside as he lowered himself down on the bed, his arms resting on either side of me. He took my lips in his and a moan escaped me. He kissed me, passion and desire exploding within us. He pulled me up and made me stand back on the floor. He pulled up my shirt and bit his lip at the sight of my naked boobs. He lowered himself, leaving a trail of kisses on my body all the way down to my stomach. He pulled down my pants, taking my underwear with them.
He bit back a moan as he stared at my core. I lifted each leg allowing him to pull of my pants. He looked up at me as I watched his movements. Everything he did seemed to send my blood spiraling and causing all my body heat to congregate in one place. He held my gaze as his tongue swept up my slit. I held on to his shoulders, digging my nails in his skin. I closed my eyes, threw my head back as he buried himself deep inside me. My moans turned into shivers and cries as he allowed his expert tongue to do its job. I felt my knees buckle as a wave of ecstasy washed over me. He made sure to keep me standing, using his hands on my back to keep me balanced but it was hard.
The moment he eased his hold on me I fell back on the bed, breathing in and out trying to calm myself. I quickly opened my eyes when I felt his shaft rubbing on my thighs, swinging from side to side. He leaned down, enveloping me between his thick arms.
"You're so beautiful." He muttered, his voice deeper than it normally is. He slid his hand between us, pulling up my legs till they were wrapped around him again, giving him easy access to a part of me I had kept to myself for so long, I was sure I would one day give it to my husband. The last time I was with him, he had made sure to make me c*m as many times as I could, but for some reason he had never tried anything else. Not even for his own release. I thought I was ready then, but maybe i wasn't. But at this moment, I was certain of it. I was ready. Ready to give myself to him, even if this would be the only time it ever happened, it would mean more to me than anything else.
I felt his head knocking at my entrance, slowly he slid himself in. I closed my eyes trying to not make things awkward. He shoved himself in and I screamed. He stopped, staring down at me.
"Tae." He called out. I kept my eyes closed. I wasn't ready to see his face. "Tae, look at me." He ordered. I opened my eyes and looked at him. I couldn't read his eyes as a plethora of emotions danced around them. "You're a virgin?" He asked. I nodded my head and he sighed. He tried pulling out but I locked my legs around his waist, pulling him back and sliding him deeper inside me. It was painful, no doubt, but his rejection would be worse.
"Tae. We can't do this." He said. I held on to his face, pulling him down and kissing him.
"We can." I assured him. "I want to. Please." I begged. It was already too late anyway. My hymen was broken anyway. "Please." I said again. I felt him move inside me, his strokes gently and perfect. He watched my every reaction to his movements, listening to my moans and reacting by going a little faster each time then slowing down again. I felt myself getting closer to the edge, my moans and cries getting louder. He leaned down and took my lips in his, swallowing my screams as he brought me to the edge of ecstasy.
"I love you." He whispered as his strokes became faster. He grunted as I felt him jerk inside me, spilling every drop of his seed inside me. "I love you so much." He added, staring down at me.
"I love you too." I replied.
XIN XI
He had been waiting for almost an hour and the man was still not back. Jaekyung had assured him the police had not picked him up so he waited. He had waited over twenty years for this moment. To see the look in his eyes when he realised that karma knew his address and it always delivered.
He heard the door opening and he quietly hid himself in the dark corner. The man threw his keys on the table before switching on the light and throwing himself on the couch. Xin Xi stealthily made his way to him, coming from behind him and wrapping his arm around his neck and pulling him up as he thrashed and hit his arm. There was no escaping the hold Xin Xi had on him. He couldn't even scream, instead he thrashed around as his life flashed before his eyes.
Just when he seemed to be getting limp Xin Xi let him go and he fell to the floor, gasping, coughing and greedily taking in as much air as his lungs could take. He was on all fours, crawling away from Xin Xi. He turned around and saw him. Those eyes, he could never forget them.
"You're supposed to be dead." He said. Xin Xi smiled at him.
"If you had your way then yes, I should be. But I'm here." He taunted him. He pulled him up by the sleeve of his t-shirt and threw him back on the couch.
"How?" The man asked.
"How what?" Xin Xi questioned, pulling the coffee table and sitting down. "How did I survive? It's a long story. All you need to know at this moment is that every dog has its day and yours has come Hajun Eunsoo." He hissed.
"Are you going to kill me?" Xin Xi chuckled.
"Kill you? I'd love to but it would be so easy. You will go to jail though. Not for killing my mother, I know there is no proof of that. And when you're in jail, I'll make sure you get your own special room, just for you alone." He told him.
"I just came out of jail. I am not going back there." Hajun Eunsoo fired back as flashes of the past couple of years in jail invaded his mind.
"See, it's not up for debate. You killed my mother. Set her house on fire with her and us inside it. You wiped out her bank accounts and even went as far as claiming all her policies. All you had to do was take the money and leave, but no, your greed would not just let her live. You had to take her from us. Now, I am going to make sure I take you from your own kids."
"Leave my children out of this." Eunsoo bellowed, making Xin Xi laugh.
"Leave them out of this like you left us out of what you did. You know the plan was to watch you suffer as every member of your family took their last breath. But you're a man and man don't cry. At least not too much. You moved on and life is good right?" He asked. The sounds of sirens coming and the text from Jaekyung was all the confirmation he needed that their plan had come together pretty well.
"I'll come for you soon enough. And you will pay for your sins." Xin Xi told him before slipping out of the house the same way he had come in, leaving no trace behind of his presence.
