Lek and Ayr were shattered, they hadn’t been doing a lot, and that was probably why, but Goong still seemed to be enjoying herself. By two, most of the girls had gone and only half a dozen customers were left.

Michael paid his bill and walked off with one of the remaining girls. When every customer had left, they switched the lights out. The five ladies from out front, re-entered the bar, and the three within put out bowls and spoons. Noi served up steaming hot noodle soup and Beou poured generous measures of Lao Deng.
